Deontay doesn't get the love or respect he deserves!

    https://<iframe width="560" height="...reen></iframe>

Hes the most exciting fighter, with his mega power punches.

He could be the hardest puncher of all time.

Hes putting his life and health on the line largely for our entertainment

He has unorthodox skills that go unrecognized ( for example Bruce Lee used a technique called attack by drawing, he draws them in by going back and then he comes forward as they come forward to deliver the KO)

But all the fans do is talk about him having no skill and there's no real positivity despite him being entertaining in a similar way to Tyson or Foreman, and all the boxing community (the fighters even commentators ) does is hate on him because he threatens them, or they dont recognize his skill.

Does this guy deserve more or what?

I think the worst thing that ever happened to him was learning to hook from Roy Jones Jr, he teaches the long hook in a way that makes it an arm punch and makes it impossible to get down. Thats his number 1 mistake imo

Hes almost been fcuked over by RJJ. They way he teaches it almost looks like hes trying to give you faulty advice on purpose.

The worst thing he ever did was try to imitate RJJ who is completely different to him genetically

He is like a heavyweight Hearns ("genetically" for body type and power type) or could be if he develops his technique a bit more along the same lines (gave a full break down b4!)

If theres anything shoddy that pisses people off its not having a good left hook (hip wise, control wise) and its those faultily taught long hooks that RJJ teaches in a video (they are either taught to be deliberately faulty or you have to be so perfect at what hes showing that most people will never get it down properly even if they try for years/their whole career)

Which is mad because a good long hook is a good long hook, theres nothing special about the way RJJ does it (the special thing about RJJ is his speed whcih he has in any punch not just his hooks, its his hips not his punch technique thats special)

Deontay has a totally different type of power hes a real puncher RJJ was just fast and got loads of KO's because people got caught flush all teh time by the speed. He didnt have real power like not in the way Deontay or say Nigel Benn did

Hes inspired by him because he was incredible but hes totally the wrong fit stylistically for his genetics, they are very different fighters

He might just be resisting his emotions which is really fcuking annoying when you start out meditating etc but he seems fcuking down and depressed, I think the community at large doesn't appreciate him anywhere near where he deserves, agree or disagree and why?

Man cant you fcuking see? This is what we LOVE!

I think he's about where he should be. The UK haters of his are nuts but his lack of diehard supporters is because he's so flawed. We're all in awe of his massive punching power but his fundamentals leave a lot to be desired.

The only thing shoddy is a lack of a left hook which is either poor hip control which can be rectified or him trying to hook or long hook like RJJ and he cant because the way he teaches it is so liable to turn into an arm punch its almost purposely intended to mess someones technique up for their whole career.

Or a combination of both which is probably true since you tend to mess up the hip -kinetic linking as you also try to do something complex with the arm at the same time esp if its taught by RJJ

I can long hook well the technique, vertical fist or horizontal/down but the way RJJ lets his arm unfold via hip rotation and then go out extend and then come back in to connect its so SO liable to go wrong and turn into an arm punch, its just insane to learn it that way.

If he did do it that way he would never gain RJJ's speed which is what makes him RJJ so incredible, its not his long hook technique.

So why the hell is he trying to learn it from RJJ?

A loss will effect both of these guys badly, that is one of the reasons? As to why I am neutral on the fight.

I think the real dislike comes from him not having a good left like his right, people see the contrast between his fcuked left hooks and his perfect stunning straight rights and that CONTRAST between perfect and lousy is what provokes that dislike reaction even more, from so many people concerning his skill/style.

He even has a perfect hip jab with his left hand/hip , I mean if it wasnt for that crap left hook he would be respected by everyone I think

At the moment hes like Gerry Cooney a 1 armed fighter thast freaking ridiculous and powerful and good on one side but aesthetically the overall look is very unpleasing compared with someone that hits well with both hands
