actually, if you read his comment appropriately, you'd see that he mentioned that Canelo looks for who's vulnerable. He didn't use the words cherry pick. You did. Saying he picks vulnerable opponents is accurate. Let's go back the past few yrs.

Khan- was ko'd multiple times and damn near lost to algieri the fight before canelo fought him.

Liam Smith - clearly the weakest champion at 154.

Chavez Jr - the definition of hype job who quit against the great fonfara 2 fights before csnslo faced him.

Ggg- after avoiding the fight for almost 2 yrs, he finally faces a 35 yr old ggg who finally looked vulnerable vs welterweight brook and for the first time in yrs went the distance in a close fight vs Jacobs.

Rocky fielding - again, clearly the weakest champion in the division (168)

Jacobs - lost to ggg and just came off a SD against a fighter with 12 fights the fight before facing Canelo.

Kovalev - an old 36, ko'd twice in the past 2 yrs, and went life and death with a near novice just 10 weeks before facing Canelo.

Front runners for his next fight are Saunders and Smith. Both looked horrible in their last fights.

So, saying that Canelo seeks out vulnerable opponents is pretty accurate. He's mastered the art of risk vs reward.

Canelo ducked Andrade at 154 & now at 160. Once Andrade moves up to 168, Canelo will move up to light heavyweight

So who should Canelo fight next?

The ONLY fighter from 160-175 that looks EXCELLENT at the moment is Beterbiev and hes also 34 or 35 years old.. so that excuse is ready made.

Maybe Caleb Plant? But hes also unproven and 1 meaningful win against Uztaci. Nobody left at 160 that is remotely deserving...Andrade LOOKS the goods but is untested and has been KD at 154. Charlo arguably lost to unknown Korobov and is fighting literal cab drivers. Hogan wasnt even a good JMW let alone a good MW...

Please tell me WHO Canelo should be fighting if you consider GGG and Jacobs "vulnerable" opponents

Regardless who likes him, Canelo has surpassed what was expected of him. I remember the days he was at 154 me and most other people felt he would turn out to be mostly hype and just a limited fighter. He’s actually progressed a lot since then and accumulated a decent resume, even if he’s not a favorite of mine stylistic wise, I can say he’s made more than a few improvements over the years.
I still don’t like the fact that his head seems to somehow be inserted into his own anus, I’m not quite sure how that came about, but that’s another story.

the saying "you're only as good as your last fight" rings true when it comes to the perception of fans. Floyd knew that, so while some people chose to complain about who he fought, he almost always picked guys coming off of impressive performances. Like Hatton, mosley, Ortiz, Cotto, Canelo, maidana. Look at their fights right before they faced Floyd. Then look at the same scenarios I mentioned above with Canelo.

As far as his options, we can scrap beterbiev because it's easy to see that he's why Canelo vacated at 175. Now at mw I'd prefer andrade or Charlo but Oscar is already saying 160 may be tough to make. So 168 leaves plant and benavidez for me. They both are young undefeated champions. To me, they're both more credible right now than picking Saunders or callum smith. Considering most thought Smith lost his last fight against a significant underdog and Saunders hasn't done anything impressive since beating Lemuiex 2 yrs ago. Not to mention he himself admitted after his last fight that he didn't deserve a Canelo shot based on his performance. How does a guy who says that become the front runner? Unless you're looking at minimizing risk vs reward. The danger associated with Saunders is IF he decides to get it together and take this fight seriously, and can maybe turn back the clock, maybe he can pose canelo problems. Too many hypotheticals with that scenario.

that whiney cvnt is just doing what he does best... whine

immediately prior to Kovalev, the golov-bots were insisting that Canelo would never have the balls to fight Smith or Saunders

                my how things change

So the only 4 fighters from 160-175 that are good enough for Canelo are Beterbiev, Bivol, Benavidez, and Plant?

And you think all of them are elite opponents without ANY potential for revisionist excuses. This is some silly ish right here

168 is a good division that will be challenging for Canelo.

no, if we're going 160-175 as you're stating, I'd say Charlo, andrade, plant, benavidez, bivol and beterbiev. All better options than Saunders and Smith at this point. The silly ish would be picking 1 of those 2 guys who came of s****y performances. There will always be people who will complain, which I stated with the mayweather comparison, but you open yourself up for more of a reason for people to complain when the appearance is that you consistently pick the fighters that appear to be the most vulnerable.
