Cotto ducking Sergio and GGG. Cotto payed his dues why line yourself up to be slaughtered by a guy like GGG that late in your career.

And it worked out for this best, he was able to get rid of that target on his back the least painful way possible (Canelo) and get one last big payday.

I think ducking someone is one of the most overrated purposely misunderstood things in boxing. Most of the examples are r3tarded & brought forth by r3tards.

That said the most comical "ducking" situation I can recall is when Tim Bradley ducked Amir Khan to fight Manny.

Yeah.... But at the same time its like saying Amir Khan didn't duck Brook just cuz he chose to fight Canelo and Crawford

Btw i don't feel like turning down a fight in a different division is ducking since your not obligated to fight in the first place.

        GGG/Ward for example

Expect the usual guys to be in here soon enough to argue that...

Crawford is ducking elite competition and especially Porter. He calls out PBC guys so he can piggyback off their names in hopes his dumbass bunboys think he wants to fight top guys just to help sell his **** fights against bums and faded former champs. He's asking 50/50 for a Spence fight when he is no draw and has the ****tiest WBO belt. No unified champion that draws more would give 50/50. That's pricing himself out. He fought 3 bums in a row with no belt but now Porter needs a belt to fight him!? Crawford is a cherry picking hype job that's ducking top competition for sure.

I think it's smart because he has a weak chin and will get exposed by the top welterweights.

You can't duck an inferior fighter. Thats not a thing. Or if it is than Loma or Wilder or whoever is ducking about a thousand guys with every fight they agree to which is a r3tarded concept to think is real.

Ducking is among the dumbest things boxing fans talk about. Right up there with P4P. Boxing is far too complicated, the intricacies with making fights too unknown & there are lotsa quality guys one could be fighting at any given time for ducking to be legitimate the overwhelming majority of the time if not 99% of the time.

Porter “ducking” Spence by not fighting him until he got the WBC and unified it. Idiots were really saying Porter was terrified of spence lmao.

Those fights were 3 years apart. Khan could have fought Brook in 2015 when Kell was IBF and the prospect of a Canelo fight wasn’t even a reality. He fought Algieri instead and almost lost lol.

I know you’re playing devils advocate but if someone actually used that argument i don’t think it works like in the Bradley Khan case.

that wasn't a real offer though. pretending to fight someone for publicity is just as bad as ducking. remember when ward turned down bute who was #1 in the division and tried to fight sartison? bute had to prove himself lol
