OK everybody is saying Floyd is ducking Magarito but i dont think people understand a few things

Floyd has to fight Baldomir now because he aint stayin round long , so if he doesnt want to be remembered as a paper champ he will have to fight Baldomir

Also if Margarito is as great as some of you think surely while Floyd is beatin Baldo and making round 15million fightin De La Hoya Margarito will be fightin some top-notch fighters proving he belongs in the same ring as Floyd

Also a Mayweather - Margarito fight will be worth a lot more 2 him in a year, when surely Margarito is more proven at top class he and Mayweather will earn more , while margarito will have nothin to lose

I would call him smart if he gets more for the same fight down the road. And what is to make us think that if he can get 8 now he can't get the same or more later. I don't think Margarito's stock is going to drop too much in the next year and Floyd isn't going anywhere.

Bob Arum is a businessman. If he offered Maywether 8mil then maybe big percentage goes to his bank account due to the fact he is going to do the stuff and promote.

Here is something people do not understand about boxing or entertainment. What do you feel if this person is ducking a guy for no reason it will make you wanna it to look forward to the fight more. evidence you could see many thread around here couple of month. So what is the fight if it fought right . 8mil is a lot of money so at least make it worth more because if I am Arum i would hyped up the action to get more than one highlight fighters.

As for Margarito ability his fights will be hand picked so he wont embarss himself if he is going to meet Mayweather and intill then he wll KO bums in the first 4 round to make the hype more intersting. I think Floyd knows that too.

but there is one problem Oscar De La Hayo.

Why? it not reason that ODLH is wanting to fight Floyd but promotional one. ODLH is spoiling Arum party by making his boxers call out Margarito. In that way it would spoil Arum hype party. He wont only loss Margarito but as well as Floyd fight with ODLH fight which will worth much much more if Floyd wins Margarito before these fight win him. Arum will wanna co-promote with GBP and looky looky look how much Arum have made from both fights.

So it just part of business nothing personal

he's definitely not duckin hatton nor has he ever, hatton was the one who said he wasnt ready and apparently priced himself out of the fight. With margarito it's not the same thing, margarito is ready and offered him a deal that makes dollars and sense.

It's just impossible for me to believe that floyd isn't at least cautious of margarito bc he knows he might lose. Just look at how it's gone down.

1. PBF chooses to fight Zab Judah thinking that his baldomir loss was a fluke, Arum at the time said that the only person who could stop a PBF-Marg fight was judah by upsetting PBF, that didnt happen.

2.Mayweather says he will not fight margarito next because he hurt is hands during the fight and wants to wait for it to heal. also if it makes dollars it makes sense.

3.Arum continues to pressure PBF to make the fight, instead floyd buys out of his contract for 750,000 dollars to become a free agent, probably to facilitate a fight with the golden boy.

4. De la hoya whoops on mayorga but later announces he will not fight again till 07, leaving margarito as a possible opponent for mayweather, this time he leaves his options open and turns his focus to shane mosley, to counter this arum offers had offered 8 million his biggest payday to date.

5.Mosley turns down any possibility of fighting floyd in november and tells him he should go forward with the margarito fight, floyd continues to try to convince him but talks don't work out.

6.) W/ margarito left as the best opponent he still does not accept the deal, instead says the fight would do nothing for his legacy and he hasnt fought anybody, no longer dollars and sense. alsothere was an issue of the money being there in october not november, arum fixes it by offeing it on pbf chosen date, still no deal.

7.) baldomir gets by gatti and enters negotiations with pbf,most likey will be made, leaving margarito out of the loop and making a guy who no one saw as plausible before, as a great candidate because he knocked out a faded and undersized gatti.

Basically, it's been different reasons along the way for not fighting him. and some of them contradict themselves, while arum and margarito jump through loops to accomodate him just to get turned down. PBF just doesnt want any part of him, his done to muchto avoid him.

i see this and do not say pbf isnt#1 p4p or the best on the planet, ad also margarito hasnt fought an elite fighter, but the point is WHO CARES, pbf didnt before this (ndou,mitchell,brusselsetc) and the fans shouldn't because he is the best fight out there. his size and workrate make hima good opponent better than baldi,and for more money when HE thinks (supposedly) it will be an easy fight.

that's why i think he is ducking the man, everyone skill and all that other **** aside what has transpired in tha last fewmonths tell it all.
