sorry 4 making another thread about this,i jus wanted 2 know,who has margarito beaten that shows he deserves a shot at mayweather,or what has he done that shows this,i want sum visual evidence that will convince me into thinking this will be a good fight,i have seen most mayweather fights,and most margarito fights,and so far all ive seen is that mayweather would eat margarito,so could eni 1 prove 2 me that margarito is the better fighter?

Azza... you ask two very different questions. Do I see why Margarito is a deserving opponent for Floyd? Yes. Margarito has been a champ at 147 for 4 years and has defended his title 6 times. No he hasn't beaten any truly elite opponent, but Kermit Cintron was well regarded before Margarito demolished him. Since then, Cintron has a pretty quality win against David Estrada (who fought Shane Mosley pretty tough recently). Margarito looked ridiculous against Lujuan (took his ear off) and looked like he should have against Gomez, dominant. Part of the reason that Margarito hasn't beaten any "elite" opponent is that he won't part with the trinket WBO belt. In a certain sense I sympathize with his point of view because the belt is his only real bargaining chip with good fighters at this point. If Margarito got his chance I am fairly confident he could beat most of the top guys at 147 other than Collazo. Now do I think Margarito is the better fighter? No, and anybody that says he is a better fighter than Floyd is basing this purely on speculation. Floyd has beaten top opposition at lower weights and equal competition at 147. I think this would be an interesting clash of styles. I mean Floyd doesn't really have any weaknesses but if there is one it is that his chin is average. Margarito is a big puncher who, if he could land, would test that chin. My opinion is that Floyd will box circles around him and win a UD.

You are right about Margarito being dangerous but the part about 15 million is totally ridiculous. If you are still stuck on the 8 million let me ask you something. If the fight is worth that much now, how could it be worth less in 18 months after both have several televised bouts?
