when pac was in his prime from 2009-2013 floyd wouldnt fight him. how do you win the lineal title if the champ wont fight you? which makes that distinction so hollow because if you want to remain champ you can simply not fight guys that you dont want to fight. then when they did fight pac got the better of floyd and landed the much better punches but of course you would never admit that. grazing jabs forever!
Pacquiao was never Lineal at welterweight, stop the bs

Industry don’t credit him anymore?? Are you even listening to you’re damn self. He was a candidate for FOTD albeit losing 4 times in this decade..
Still one of the fighters that can pull his own ppv event despite being way way past his prime.
I support pac, but i don’t do it blindly. And you meanwhile don’t make any sense lol
Floyd at 40 was retired and fighting tenshin’s of the world when he has a style that should theoretically age better like Bhop.
Pac who has more wear and tear at this point because of the non stop wars in his prime, his style still needs high octane energy to perform as he didn’t resort to boring tactics albeit losing a ton of athleticism..
was still fighting thurman at 40, an actual boxing champ in a good effin war.
So i you can’t give credit on that, that explains what kind of a boxing fan you are.Comment

Pacquiao's career is smoke and mirrors. If you really look at his resume you see it's not as great as people would have you believe. Majority cherrypicks of fighters coming off bad performances recently.Comment

I wouldn't say it means nothing, but it definitely means far less.
What people need to realize too is that it's not just about being "lineal," it's about the lineage you possess. If the lineage traces back a year and a half, who cares? If we're talking middleweight lineage, and you're the man who beat the man, going back decades to Bernard Hopkins, then that can understandably mean something.
This is why it's so ****** when people argue over whether Fury is the lineal champion.
HE HAS KLITSCHKO'S LINEAGE. Period. Everyone can decide for themselves what that is worth, but you can't take that away from him.
Agree regarding the length of the lineage. He beat Klitschko... The lineage goes back only a few years.
As for whether it's Fury at present, that's certainly debatable... hence the constant debate. Not that it really matters - once they all fight each other we'll know who it is for sure. It's an exercise in history, not a title you can flounce around for marketing purposes. What Fury and ESPN are doing is just shameless.Comment
