The WBO mandatory against Povetkin took place a year after the IBF mandatory against Takam. It's 2020 and there hasn't been an IBF mandatory since 2017. It's not the WBO's turn yet. You can't strip Joshua for fighting one mandatory over another as long as he sticks to the rotation. The issue is that Hearn wants him to vacate the WBO for other reasons, so there is an effort to fool the fans here.

The WBO have no choice but to wait. IBF is next in the rotation. However, Hearn has incentive for Joshua to vacate the WBO before fighting Pulev, so it's important to fool the fans into thinking Joshua had no choice.

I thought you claimed to know how the governing bodies work young man?

You will find they could choose to wait but equally they could choose not too. In their view the rematch with Ruiz slowed down the process of fighting their mandatory and ‘could’ have chosen to not allow it then.

At the end of the day it’s upto then to decide. As I mentioned previously they may agree a deal to either fight Joshua afterwards or Joshua vacates but gets a shot straight after regardless - the latter would make most commercial sense for matchroom but make less money for WBO you would think

No one is fooling anyone certainly not you, If the IBF requests a mandatory fight and Joshua does not comply he is stripped ,a fighter cannot stop a sanctioned body because he’s following a rotation if both are due.

Vacating the WBO wouldn’t actually matter if he’s not fighting Usyk next anyway so what’s your point ? Ha

Whoever Usyk fights will need a KO to get a draw. The WBO want their own Canelo.

You're wrong. A federal court ruling forces them to wait.

It's illegal for a sanctioning body to strip a unified champion if he follows the rotation. A federal court order prevents it.
