Ortiz is faster ? Only on boxing scene but in the ring we know that’s not true, .Ha

Ruiz is also a far better combo puncher and body puncher let’s not lie now again and make things up. Ortiz has a better straight left and uppercut that’s about it so saying one is better is not the truth ,Ruiz puts his punches together more, only thing different between them significantly is Ortiz has decent footwork that doesn’t last long ,he moves in spurts.

if ruiz is motivated, he will outbox ortiz. he's simply faster...and ortiz doesnt have the power to ko ruiz.

Ortiz, Ruiz is perfect for some fight styles but Ortiz can punch right down the pike. I also think Ortiz has a million times the ring iq of aj just old and way into the decline.

When doing matches one should really include stats.

Power : Even . They both generate it different .

Speed : Ruiz .At least those capable of telling the truth .

Chin : Ruiz . Only down once and never knocked out ,fought actual power punchers beyond one guy .

          Footwork : Ortiz .

          Stamina : Ruiz

          Age : Ruiz

Size : Irrelevant both used to fighting taller guys , Ortiz does struggle with accuracy more however and relies on timing.

          Ring IQ : Ortiz

Experience : Ruiz ,he’s been in with much more different quality opponents.

Who benefits more from their last fight : Ruiz, he had to match actual aggressive boxer with punches coming at him while Ortiz was fighting a guy just waiting for an opening In the process losing every round ,the fight mimics the Joshua one more.

Skills sets vs the other :

Advantage Ruiz because he negates Ortiz mid range with faster combination punching and his stamina would last longer then Ortiz limited movement in a full 12 rounder.

I think it’s safe to say any unbiased poster would have Ruiz winning a tough close fight if they fought before another year is added to old Ortiz despite Ruiz holding the most advantages . I don’t expect that on this forum, I get it Ortiz crushes everyone not named Wilder . Ha

i think ortiz is ridiculously good

he showed it in his last fight vs wilder

i got ortiz beating aj , whyte for sure, both by knockout,

and ruiz would be a great style match up for ortiz

ortiz doesnt like it if opponent moves a lot and ruiz is the opposite

i think ortiz vs ruiz is very likely to happen. the priority is to get opponents for their ppv star - wilder. wilder cannot fight ruiz or ortiz now because he already beat ortiz for the 2nd time and ruiz is coming off a loss to aj so they have to match ortiz and ruiz tough to build them up .

At this stage of Ortiz's career, I am forced to hold the overall look of the Hammer fight against Ortiz - he took way too many flush right hands from him and he wasn't even reacting to them as they came towards him. Wilder's right hand to end that fight was one of the best he's thrown, so I dont want to take that away...but Ortiz was not reacting to shots before that fight. I supposed he has the better skill than Ruiz, he'll have a big target....but I don't think he can take the pressure due to his stamina..Ruiz will be working his body too. Ill go with Ruiz

lol At a poll that includes any Joshua defeated opponent like the Wilderettes will take anyone he's won over against Ortiz ?

Ortiz does not get past Andy at this stage . I'll take 250/260 /270 or 280 Ruiz over him.

Its not about a match up ,its about saving Ortiz as the mythical monster to keep Wilder afloat around here so you get very warped votes .

first off Ortiz isn’t getting his just due

Ruiz doesn’t handle jabs well, Ortiz has a very good jab, he routinely out jabbed Wilder who has a good long jab.

Ruiz also has slow feet while Ortiz has some of the better footwork in the division.

Ortiz has more power 8 of his last 10 wins are by KO

Ortiz is a much better counter puncher, Ortiz uses feints well, he has good defense he mixes his defense up between using his feet, countering and covering up

Ortiz is just bigger and better in almost every category,

One of Ortiz “flaws” is the fact while he has good offense it’s not spectacular, that and his cuban defensive mindset if you force him to continuously lead he gets stagnant offensively, it’s a big part of why he didn’t Ko some fighters he should’ve

But Ruiz isn’t a fighter that disengages enough for that to matter

                      Ortiz by late round stoppage
