Honestly I think Holm would've taken the fight but her handlers knew she'd lose and they didn't want her taking an L on her way out the door with her burgeoning MMA career.Comment

That'd be the best guess. I'd say the vast majority of the time the fighters themselves - male or female - are pretty much up for testing themnselves against anyone, most fights don't happen cos the handlers ain't into to taking risks.Comment

Yeah I can understand that I guess but it's pretty lame IMO. Especially considering she had the 2 losses already. The earliest looks like a massive upset to a journeywoman (is that a real term heh?) mostly due to a cut. I think myself and most boxing fans would see it as more honorable to go out fighting the best win or lose but I guess that's not as marketable to the more dare I say NASCAResque fans of UFC. Don't see why though as a lot of them dont have pretty undefeated records since they can't duck anyone.Comment

Wolfe was a scary ass woman. She had that crazy look to her because she was crazy. Haven't seen her fights in years but I remember she fought with a certain violence to her.Comment

The only other woman I recall with that level of punching power was Anne Sophie Mathis.
Knocked out Holly Holm, knocked out Myriam Lamare, knocked out Christina Hammer (even though the ref incorrectly called it a rabbit punch and DQ'd Mathis; they overturned it to a no decision after the fact).
Mathis got knocked out in her second pro fight but then won 25 in a row before her fights with Holm, Braekhus, Hammer, and Castillo at the end.Comment
