Like Marvin Hagler said, it's a lot harder to get out of bed at 6am for roadwork when you're sleeping in silk pyjamas.

It takes real mental strength to do that, and Ruiz didn't have it.

      Lazy ScaryTrainer

You're fired! Didn't care about your job, didn't go after the big kid partying full of pride, what kind of experience is that to let your future party to defeat. Should've pushed Andy and provoke a fight with him and his dad to get their attention and show you cared but instead you were also partying enjoying the money and fame. You're fired.

Both your posts in this thread are very good observations I must say.

          imagine

Imagine being broke all your life training everyday working towards a dream. money is tight your eating cheap food cant afford to go to nice restaurants. and the BOOM your an instant millionaire and you have money to eat whatever and wherever you want. even if andy never makes it back he can always tell his grandkids he won the heavyweight world title and show off those belts!!

I like Andy a lot but he'll be flat broke inside of 5 years if he doesn't do a complete turn around with his career and/or his spending. Some poor people, I think, have poorness in their genes. A little like some fat people have fat in their genes

Mexicans and fat people like soccer so that’s not a good enough reason.

I actually give AJ props for not needing a dodgy ref like in the Parker fight

If Andy Ruiz is serious about getting his career back on track he should dump Robles and hire Eddy Reynoso.

He has to have the desire and the discipline within himself, though. No trainer can give that to him.

The ring was the same size as the one they had for the first fight.

Andy is basically the road worker that won the lottery twice. Being the first every HW Mexican champ + the Joshua paydays seems to have been enough for him.

He doesn’t seem to care much about building legacy or remaining at the top of the game, he just wants to make some more money to buy pizzas and ***elry.
