Breach of conflict based on conflict of interest, huh? Sounds possible he's reckoning on - or been advised of - the protection of the Ali act in a move to the States, even if there's ongoing litigation in the UK (and Cyclone might be reluctant anyway given the ongoing business with Franpton). Coupla years of fighting in the US and hopefully the litigation will be all done and dusted. I'm speculating, of course, but it doesn't sound too implausible.

It could work the other way around. Him signing a contract without getting out of his old contract first. Cyclone can get stop and desist for years, at least during a trial. Josh could be inactive for a while.

Could be. There's some days I'd already be educating myself on the relevent legislation and the outcomes of similar cases, but today ain't one of 'em.

Maybe he didn't receive the money he figured he was entitled to. Not like that doesn't happen in boxing.
