Tank has established himself as a draw so he is going to be able to do things much like a young Canelo did, even though he isn't anywhere as big a draw. He has powerful backing so he will get title shots and high rankings just like other guys have always got.

There's nothing wrong with that but the fight itself can be judged based on its own merit.
Alot of boxing fans, myself included, thought Khan vs Canelo was a farce but it didn't stop people from watching it or enjoying the event of it. Same with GGG vs Brook or countless other fights...
If Tank can make the PPV buys and sell the tickets for this then more power to him. If the fight is at 135 (and I can't see Tank getting down to 130), then there's really nothing compelling about it for me. LSC was never a power puncher even at his best weights and his defense isn't all that great. Just don't see the competition in it.

Look at Canelo/Kovalev. That didn't do the kind of business a Canelo fight usually does but even at 60% of hi s regular numbers at the gate and viewership that fight did better than every fight except AJ/Ruiz 2.
I think diehard boxing fans forget that ratings can be achieved in any number of ways. while we prefer ratings come from the best fights, the fact is the top guys can fight bums and still get high ratings.

Porky vs LSC is not a hot ticket or a fight anybody is asking for. Khan at least had great speed on his side. LSC has not one advantage in this fight, he isn't quick and doesn't pack power and he is smaller. This won't do 1/3 of the sales Canelo would do when he was PPV.
Davis is a proven draw. He fills arenas. He will get fights like this because of it.
Kahn had no advantage whatsoever against Canelo. He was there to get KTFO and that is what happened.
We agree, it may not do 1/3 of the sales. If it does, than 1/3rd is 330k. 330k at $75 . do the math dude.
