They’re the same size, Usyk is a much better boxer and probably hits harder too.

    Thanks WBO!
Parker would be more dangerous for Usyk than Chisora, imo, because he has much quicker hands.

Usyk would run for his life and Hearn would buy him a decision.

Not that I'm saying this is what happened, but I would speculate it's so he can have another heavyweight titlist under his umbrella without Joshua having to take an L.

He can have Usyk and Joshua with a belt each and not have to match them against each other until he wants to.

Because he wanted to be able to use the WBO mandatory as a way to do an in house fight before having to deal with Pulev, a Top Rank fighter.

The WBO had publicly confirmed Povetkin as their mandatory, had him rated #1, Povetkin was WBO international champion and had been actively defending the title, etc.

Then suddenly, right before the fight, the WBO says Povetkin isn't the mandatory and Hearn starts talking about Dillian Whyte being the WBO mandatory. When Whyte passed on the Joshua fight, then Usyk is suddenly WBO mandatory. All Hearn fighters. It's just a ploy to delay the IBF mandatory.

That's what all the fighting is about. The WBO is saying they haven't had their turn yet and the IBF is saying that's ridiculous. You already said Povetkin was your mandatory, he was #1 in your ratings when Joshua fought him, you can't just not count it as a mandatory to try to get back in front of us in line.

Parker is a tough guy, not sure but he can actually go all 12 and is a descent opponent for Usyk

He will likely have to drop either the IBF or the WBO belt regardless.

If he drops the WBO, the vacant spot will be filled by either Usyk vs Parker or Usyk vs Chisora. In either case, Joshua vs the winner is a relatively easy fight to make to re-unify.

But if he vacates the IBF instead? Then the belt could end up at Top Rank or PBC, and Pulev or Kownacki would be far more likely to unify with the winner of Wilder vs Fury II than Joshua.
IBF and WBO have already said they won't step on eachothers toes. There's no reason to drop one unless it's a duck move.

But if AJ vs Povetkin had been a WBO mandatory defense, AJ would still have been WBO champion and Usyk still wouldn't have become his mando till he moved up to HW, so it wouldn't have made any difference.

I understand that, but your claim that Hearn had the WBO remove Povetkin as their mando to make way for Usyk doesn't make sense.

Back then, Usyk was still at CW preparing to defend his titles against Bellew. He didn't become the WBO HW mando till he relinquished his WBO CW title in June 2019, 9 months after AJ vs Povetkin.

AJ will will still claim he beat Parker and nobody thinks Parker can take Wilders right.
if theres anyone in the heavyweight division that could take wilders right hand it would be parker, he be one one of the top 3 toughest guys in the division, parkers has good head movement as he showed in the joshua fight so not exactly easy to hit...
