Ha ha I may need a little education in business lingo, man, I make no pretensions at being knowledgable in the field and any comments I make are purely from the POV of an interested layman. Don't be fooled by my insistance on using unnecessarily involved language, man, I only do that cos I reckon it makes me look smarter than I am.

I'm curious though, do you see streaming services - particularly for sports content - eventually coming to dominate the distribution market (US or global) or do you reckon they'll always be secondary players?

I cancel and renew DAZN when there are enough good fights on in a month, at least ones like AJRuiz that I don't want to take a chance on missing thru free streaming....there were some problems with the transmission too, it cut out/buffered a lot, and I missed AJs ko….there are a lot of other sports on it too

This article is a lot of soft agreeable words just to say that DAZN is a complete failure in the US with no hope of a turnaround outside of blind fanboy dreams.

... "BTL" actually means "below the line"... (but I only used it here in order to mean "illegal", mostly...)

          ... So: just don't mind...

So the author of this article says DAZNs most watched events all occurred in last 3-4 months of 2019 except for Canelo-Jacobs.

In other words...DAZN is growing and catching favor in the US...

DAZN is a new business model, new platform, and completely new approach to boxing where PPV has been the ONLY model offered for the past 50 years. Yes Premium networks have existed before (HBO, Showtime) but they did NOT include PPV so they arent the same as what DAZN is offering

The long-term strategy used by Amazon to achieve profitability does not apply to DAZN, in part because Amazon is a publically traded company and DAZN is not. While it took Amazon years to turn a profit, the company focused on growth and the investors were seeing the price of the stock increase at phenomenal rates. The original stock price for Amazon in 1997 was $18/share now it is trading at $1,874/share.

Even though Amazon was not turning a profit, investors were compensated by the increase in the stock price. DAZN is a privately held corporation with a business model that will not generate much growth and with a management team that fails to understand the boxing market. The prognosis is not good.

Amazon actually started with "real economy" merchandises over the Internet: i.e. books, records, compact discs... but, anyway, it's OK...

And a perma ban for any UK members who posted comments on his articles.

They can't legally watch DAZN in the UK, so they have no right to be talking about it.

What a WINDBAG this writter is. I thought just part one was OVER done now a part 2? Like we didnt get part one?
Let me break it down for u Thomas....
DAZN started out cheap to get subscribers. Now that there far more popular. They have to adjust there prices for their TRUE value. They dont pay the fighters with pesos.
