Mayweather wouldn't be champ if he came back either. He retired.

The welterweight title is vacant at the moment. Pac vs Spence is the current title fight, based on their recent wins vs Thurman and Porter respectively.

Wilder vs Fury II is for the vacant championship. None of the belts mean jack.
I agree, even if that's not what's happening. AJ and team have done nothing but truck in titles and belts that Fury discarded. Fury never had the WBC title.

How come Fury kept the Lineal belt when he retired/got banned for 2 years? Shouldn't he have been stripped of it?

As for AJ. As long as he is fighting his mandatories then he should keep the belts. Otherwise what's the point?

Furys not the champion, he didnt defend the titles, he pulled out of the rematch with Wlad, and pretty much caused the chaos in the division. If you can't defend your belt because you lack commitment you dont magically remain champ, although he definitely deserves to hold the WBC right now.

Dubois hasn't even beaten a legit top-20 opponent. No one is avoiding him. There is no benefit to fighting someone who hasn't beaten anyone. It's lose/lose.

              1. There is no lineal belt

              2. Fury DID vacate the lineal title when he retired. The title is vacant right now, and it will be decided when #1 and #2 fight in February (Wilder vs Fury II).

Back to cherry picking as usual. Take the weakest opponent in Pulev. People talking like Pulev has a chance GTFOH. He's 100 years old! Bum city as usual. Andy Ruiz is a BUM!!! Only legit win on AJs resume is Whyte. Klitschko was washed and nearly drowned AJ. Wilder will KO this fool as soon as he lands on the temple. Anthony Joshua, the heavyweight Amir Kahn

Wilder hasn’t vacated in 40 fights, why does Joshua have to vacate in 20?

Fuc Warren for saying AJ should sit on the sidelines waiting maybe a year or more for Fury and Wilder to fight twice more so he can fight one of them when they are done with each other. AJ should fight a top contender twice a year. That is what made him a good champion and that is what he should continue to do. He should fight the winner of AJ vs Fury when they are done fighting each other and ready to fight him assuming the money split is fair. He should not sit on the sidelines waiting for them. He is still the holder of most of the belts and he should actively defend those titles against the top challengers.
