It's a shltty resume due to a shltty HW era. No resume is impressive.
We're talking about all time. Are any of Wilders knockouts better than even old Georges one punch ko of undefeated Moorer? Lewis of Rahman? Jacksons of never stopped or floored Herol Graham? Theres just too many to mention. Im not saying Wilder aint a great puncher. But different to any ever seen before? No way, sometimes people get knocked out and look like theyre dead. The Ortiz knockout was just a knockout of an older fighter, who'd looked shot previously. Fury? Good knockdown, but hes been floored and hurt before, by non punchers too. The hype is just abit cringey.

I have never blocked anyone except for a couple of days just to be a d**k but you are on to something here. If you block all the trolls & nuthuggers then you will actually be able to have normal discussions about boxing. There have been some real fanboys & nuthuggers over the years but the Wilder/Joshua nuthuggery is the worst yet. 10 pages of 4 or 5 of the same clowns talking nonsense on every thread.

I remember genuinely wondering who the smallest man who could beat would be.

He wasn’t that tall either. I think a modern day Canelo or GGG would beat him.

Some of the worst feet I’ve ever seen
Lol... Samuel is a lovable guy. If you ever met him he is one of the nicest fighters yo can meet. After is fights would take pictures with fans in the stands. What’s disheartening is he is still fighting and suffering brutal Knock outs.

You wanted to root for him but his technique was so bad you new he was on borrowed time. But in all fairness it took Vitali to hand him his first loss. Hope Sam retires while he still has something left.

I can't say I see any improvements. Just him waiting to unleash the Devil.
They should definitely focus on the jab more. His reach is 83" inches so a better one/two would work wonders. The Breazeale fight was a great example. Blind them with the left and then boom, lights out!

Bro I appreciate the commentary. We both have an amazing appreciation for all things Roy Jones.

The only thing I disagree with is your outrage on the comparison.

The point is neither fighter was text book and both had a style that was only possible because of their exceptional gifts.

Even if random Fighter A had Roy’s Ring IQ, without Roy’s other worldly speed and reflexes he would have a much shorter career fighting as Roy did. This why it’s hard for Roy to teach what he did. No one else is that gifted.

Even if Random Fighter A had GOOD reflexes they would not be able to fight like Roy for as long as he did. Roy’s style depended on 10ths of a seconds for safety. And when his reflex’s started to slow we saw how dangerous of a game Roy had been playing for the life of a career.

In the same vein, Wilder didn’t have his other worldly knock out power, he would have several losses at this point.

And although he doesn’t have incredible Ring IQ, what is amazing is he is extremely Self-Aware and disciplined. He is humbled in understanding his limitations and works with some amount of genius with in the context of his late start.

Say what you want about the Wilder draw with Fury, but even before the KO, Wilder was winning rounds in a way Vlad could not against a very challenging common foe. I had him winning more than two rounds. Early on Tyson was not doing as well.

Lol...Since you went there, we all know if both fighters were the same size Roy would destroy Wilder. Maybe in his absolute prime Roy KO’s him easy.

Where I disagree is this, if Roy goes up to Heavyweight to fight today’s Wilder at the time he fought John Ruiz... well he probably gets slept. Ruiz was slow as molasses, lacked heavyweight power and buzzed Roy in that fight.

You may not like to hear it but what are the chances Roy at that age would not get caught by that Wilder right hand? Wilder is more athletic, faster and that Hammer of Wilder has no mercy.

Clearly Roy is one of the greatest fighters to ever lace them up and my personal favorite but there is a reality to this game we can’t overlook. Great commentary bro!!!

Its definately interesting , just curious the details
Pins are inserted for stability purposes. Many MMA fighters have pins and rods in their feet and legs. It is a detriment not an advantage. A fighter would certainly prefer an uninjured, strong hand or foot over one that has been broken on numerous occasions.

Wilder (37-0, 36 KOs), 30, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is almost surely out for the rest of 2016. This is at least the third time Wilder, a devastating puncher, has broken his right hand. After a first-round knockout of Travis Allen in 2009 (Wilder's seventh professional fight), Wilder had right hand surgery during which pins were inserted to stabilize it.

It’s more the other way around, the fact that he gets into position to be able to use that power is a skill in itself... what good does it do you if you have powers and can’t land? Wilder has knocked down all of his opponents... 100% knockdown esté in over 40 fights and has knocked out 95+ % of his opponents... that’s not a fluke
