Berchelt has said numerous times that he would like to face Loma. Meanwhile Arum has mentioned Berchelt among a list of possible Loma opponents in the past, but based on comments he made earlier this year, it doesn't sound like he's been all that serious about pursuing it:

When asked about the possibility of a Lomachenko-Berchelt matchup, Arum made it clear that while it's a possibility, it wouldn't be in the near future... I agree but an all out war is in Berchelts best interest.. I think Oscar is the better boxer with better skills so he needs to box smart and only engage in spurts

Berchelt has been a disappointment. I thought he would challenge Lomachenko before Teofimo Lopez would! However, he's in a good spot now @ 130. Farmer, Jo Jo Diaz, Valdez, Cancio, Rene Alvarado, and Herring, all there for the taking! Hopefully his next fight is one of those. If not, i'm still disappointed!
