Berchelt has said numerous times that he would like to face Loma. Meanwhile Arum has mentioned Berchelt among a list of possible Loma opponents in the past, but based on comments he made earlier this year, it doesn't sound like he's been all that serious about pursuing it:

"Even in talking with Arum, the complexity of fight-making in this era was clear. When asked about the possibility of a Lomachenko-Berchelt matchup, Arum made it clear that while it's a possibility, it wouldn't be in the near future... 'But [Berchelt] would certainly be in the mix,' for a future fight with Lomachenko..."

Entertaining fighter but if one of those fights isn't against Herring it'll just be another one of those modern accomplishments that isn't worth as much once you look too hard at the details. Can't see Chavez turning down a fight like that

I'd like to see Valdez vs. Ito instead, with the winner potentially getting a shot.

I hope we eventually get Berchelt vs. Warrington.

It's a shame when champions don't face each other. Lomachenko, Davis, Berchelt, Farmer, Rakhimov, Alvarado... 130 was great.

Herring should be counting his blessings that Berchelt isn't next. Did you see his fight vs that Roach guy?

Berchelt-Valdez is a huge fight that has all out war written all over it.

I agree but an all out war is in Berchelts best interest.. I think Oscar is the better boxer with better skills so he needs to box smart and only engage in spurts

Berchelt has been a disappointment. I thought he would challenge Lomachenko before Teofimo Lopez would! However, he's in a good spot now @ 130. Farmer, Jo Jo Diaz, Valdez, Cancio, Rene Alvarado, and Herring, all there for the taking! Hopefully his next fight is one of those. If not, i'm still disappointed!

Salute to Chris Colbert! Good Luck on 1/18! Brooklyn Stand Up!
