Hate is a more consistent & dependable emotion in people. People wanna see those they hate fail more than they wanna see people they love succeed. Floyd capitalized on that hate & made himself the biggest name in the game & arguably of all time & certainly among the biggest names of all time.

Laila Ali did similar in participating in some events and commercials. She did more money in show biz than in boxing.
Has any of Canelo's people told him he's likely lost out on hundreds of millions by not learning english?

He knew his people didn’t have the funds so he turned to Mexicans for help. Smart move.

Can’t blame a mans hustle. If my folks stopped buyin Jordan shoes, and started supporting Wilder, Crawford, Spence, then we’d be on top again, na sayin?
When did Mexicans get the funds? Lol, great joke.

I agree though, Floyd taking advantage of non black ******ity and their insatiable desire to see him lose to inferior non black competition was a brilliant hustle.

There was some article on Floyds break from Arum, mentioning the break was in their promotional beliefs. Arum didnt see a market in the afro american culture, Floyd did. The guy is a genius no denying that. He's very smart. Got the right fights and some great ideas e.g 24/7 and catered to that wannabe rich market. Made a lot of celeb friends. Remember Floyd becoming megastar Justin Beiber's friend? Who here believes that wasnt just Floyd making a marketing move?

Just marketing. Most overhyped fighter of all time but also a marketing genius. That said dont forget that he is one of the first in the internet age. Bigger fighters will come along. But Floyd changed the sport for sure, not all for the better though.

That hate thing is complete bulsht. If you really hate a guy, you dont care for them, definitely not to pay to watch'em. And the vast majority of Floyd's fights were against non-threats. The Mcgregor fight should show he's not getting the hits on hate. He's a celebrity. Fairly simple.

He was the best and everybody wanted to see him lose, that paired with great marketing gave him great numbers. Having his fights on the two big mexican holidays, assured great gates too.

If he did he would open himself to a huge market.

Fraudweather came along at the right time. No great American star so they manufactured and installed Floyd as the face of boxing. The establishment needed him and rigged his career. The establishment rigged all of his fights after Oscar. Haymon Arum HBO Schaefer Oscar Espinoza Vegas Showtime all rigged Floyd to not lose. HBO ignored the Klitschkos and dedicated all resources to making Floyd the face (franchise) of boxing. People wanted to see the lil fraud ***** lose but it was rigged for Floyd to keep winning. The lil coward even ducked Pacquiao for 6 years and tried to duck him forever until head of CBS showtime Les Moonves stepped in and forced Floyd and Haymon to stop ducking.

Now every one sees the truth. Floyd is protected. He only fights opponents that he knows will throw the fight or can't beat him. He will never take a real risk. Even now with $100m plus waiting for him to rematch Pac, the little coward just won't do it. Because he knows it can't be rigged this time, Pac is the money fighter now. Floyd does not draw and sell unless he can piggyback off a big star. Pac is the only star left for Floyd to piggyback off of but he knows he can't beat Pac now.

Cotto would have beaten Floyd in 2008 unification battle of unbeatens but Floyd didn't want the fight. He had Ellerbe say it was because of Cotto's low PPV #s which was a duck move. Brian Kenny cornered Floyd on Cotto on ESPN live and Floyd squirmed and stuttered some BS about Cotto being from Puerto Rico. Floyd flat out ducked prime Cotto, also blaming Arum, I won't do business with Bob Arum, which was another coward duck move. The establishment needed, created and preserved floyd as their fraud franchise. Williams would have killed Floyd 120--108. Margarito would have wrecked Floyd bad in 2006. Martinez would have killed Floyd. Thurman too. Pac in 2009 would have killed Floyd brutally. Floyd was protected and rigged. Many people can't accept that, they'd rather believe the myth fantasy than the truth.
