Garcia is lightyears away from being a legend. Herrera exposed him terribly in Puerto Rico!!! Garcia has worked hard at being a smurf cherry picking his opponents. Smurf of the decade for sure if there is such an award. Oh yeah I almost forgot, Garcia is already a legend since he gets full credit from the islanders on the win against mummified Erik Morales!!!

wasn't the same version of mosley. Pac fought him a year later coming off of a 1 sided loss to mayweather and a draw to Sergio mora. He was clearly washed up.

Beating an aging Pacquiao doesnt make you a legend. It wouldnt harm your argument if you want to be seen as a legend but there has to be a lot more substance than just that and Danny G has not done any of it.

In addition, his conditioning and overall health wasn't at full strength and neither was he at his physical peak either. Yet we still gave Pac full credit for that victory because he defeated a man who was 10 years younger than himself.

We cannot have it both ways. We cannot celebrate Pac victories when he wins but then want to turn around and make excuses for his age once he loses. It's not right. As long as he is still capable of fighting at a very high championship level then he is fair game for anyone.

He's proven that he can still hang with the young pups. If it were not so, then he would have been retired many many years ago like Money Mayweather has.
Discredit? Who says something about discredit? I said discounted credit. You only get full credit when you beat that fighter in his prime, which Manny is not.

You can say whatever you want to say about Thurman and his conditions, layoffs etc. But he’s still a 30-yr old live body who the 40-yr old fighter was fighting. That’s where the major props comes from. 30-yr olds shouldn’t lose against 40-yr olds. Had the result been reversed with Thurman winning, do you really think he would get major props for beating the 40-yr old has been? Same thing applies to Danny should he beat Manny. Sorry, but it is what it is for me. The only one getting major props is the old man winning.

Both Garcia and Thurman gets payday though for fighting Manny, which I believe they wouldn’t mind taking. They want major props? There’s Crawford and there’s Spence, or they can fight each other again
