Imagine getting beaten by someone less than half your weight and over a foot shorter...trained or not.
Shaquille O'Neal: I would have beaten Oscar's ass if I did not hold back.

I gripped up with Shaq back in the day I can vouch for that ,he’s extremely strong . I’m the only one on here that went head to head against him in a direct strength contest .Comment

My money would be on Shaq. Sure, Shaq throws punches like a big sissy but he's a really really big sissy. Plus I don't think Oscar could do anything that would hurt Shaq. A couple weeks training to work on some sort of jab and I'm thinking that would do it. Size matters, a lot.

Imagine taking a jab from a fist like that even if you had your guard up.

Shaq has trained casually in boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and freestyle wrestling since 2000. He's obviously nowhere close to professional level but 20 years of casual combat sports training and his sheer size and athleticism have to count for something.Comment

Mariusz Pudzianowski was the worlds strongest man, but even still all of that strength did not translate into immense punching power etc Shaquille O'Neal was a basketball player, apart from running up and down a basketball court & dunking on a net which 'He was nearly the same height as' O'Neal has not really achieve any great athletic feats.
Inside of a boxing ring in a real fight, Oscar De La Hoya would of just went to the body and probably broken his ribs 'After taking him into deep water'.Comment
