When the ac tendon ruptures it detaches from the back of the heel and the calf muscle is released and is drawn up into huge knot in the calf area of the leg. Surgical re-attachment and extended recovery is required. I dont know what injury Gamboa suffered but it was not a ruptured ac tendon. Gamboa would not have even walked on that injury much less boxed. That story is being passed around probably to discredit Davis's victory.Comment

He had rupture but it might heal without surgery, failed wikiman.Comment
