“Schooled.” Lol I was a bit of a fan of Siri when he was fighting, but let’s not get crazy. He beat Loma in what was only Vasyl’s second pro fight. The battle-tested Salido used a bunch of veteran tactics (read, “dirty”) to take advantage of the newbie. On top of that, Orlando rehydrated to 147 the night of the fight, which was a 126 lb affair. Even then, the close split decision was debatable.

He did have one more LW fight (Lozada) prior to facing Zepeda, which he actually looked pretty good in. On the other hand, he did move up immediately after the Davis fight.

Davis won a title against Gamboa, so I'm ok with him being in the top 10.

...and Siri did miss weight too. He seemed to give zero ****s that fight lol. That was a loss that happened to Loma at the perfect time. It was a reality check: being one of the best all-time amateurs doesn't mean you're just going to walk in and own the place.

It’s a fair point, but then i suppose you do kind of have to take what they’ve done in previous divisions into account, in some way.

Crawford is obviously one of the best Welterweights in the world, however it would be a struggle to justify him even being in the top 10 at WW, if he go strictly on his WW resume.

Still, that barely changes things for Tank i think. The only real decent fighter he’s faced is Pedraza, which is a good win, but he hasn’t done much else really.

Yeah, Salido weighed in at 128 1/4. He used every trick in the book to gain an advantage — a real vet. I’m sure he didn’t like the idea of being used as a stepping stone for a future star. He showed them what’s up. Lol

Rafael’s main criteria is what a fighter has done in the division, but the general body of work is also considered. Pedraza was a good win, but I’m hearing he’s now at 140, which makes you wonder how suited he was to 130. I don’t take great issue with placing Davis in the number five spot at 135, but it seems a little high, all things considered.

It does. The WBO even gives champions from a lower weight class the right to move up in weight and be the automatic mandatory.

not sure theyd really want it....

but yeah id love to see it...

but i believe someone might get overzealous thinking tank is ripe and walk right into a trap
that version of Gamboa with one leg wouldn’t beat Jayson Velez.

A healthy Gamboa I given h not that one legged 38 year old Gamboa who already done been ko’d by Castellano

Nah he copped a title at 135 after 3 tune ups at 135 then fought Lozada to get revenge for Verdejo before testing 140. And then said he would probably be moving back to 135 since he makes it so comfortably
