Used to be the biggest fights earned the most money because networks have to bid on fights.

Now that guys have exclusive network deals, they get big money regardless of who they fight.

So where exactly is the incentive for them to make the best fights?
These are just more racial stereotypes. The ones who supposedly only care about legacy always seem to be the same color. You never hear them say guys like J Rock only cares about legacy. He's fought everybody and he's fighting Charlo after his next fight. He wanted to fight Munguia and Tiexeira. When they asked him why because PBC doesn't recognize the WBO he said he doesn't care. He wants all the belts.

If Loma isn't business savvy, he better keep an eye out for the Arum undercut.

I don’t agree, pac is just too big, Loma could still fight under 130, he gives away far too much at 135 as it is.
Garcia isn’t interested I have no idea what direction he’s taking

Get your facts straight. Loma explicitly said that he would get absolutely 0 credit for fighting Pacquiao and he thought there was no legacy in beating a fading fighter. It was a lose-lose for him. Two scenarios:

              1. He beats Pac - Pac was washed, too old, Loma is feasting on old timers.
              2. Pac beats Loma - Hype is over. Even old washed Pacquiao has beaten him.

As far as Garcia, there is nothing to discuss. Garcia himself dodged the discussion about the fight himself and said he didn't care about it.
sigh*pacquiao just floored a big, and the second or third best welterweight in the world as well as nearly ended the fight with a body shot. He gave up 10 years, 20 pounds, height and reach, and still ****ed up Keith “not this time” Thurman. He would put Lomachenko (who was put on his ass by Linares) Mikey, and and anyone else below 147 in a ****ing body bag If you can’t see this then I’m sorry but y’all don’t know **** about boxing

Why is Salido's ***** talking ****? No one is lining up to fight Salido's ***** because he's a no name whose best win is Linares.

If this is true then Loma should’ve come and been honest instead of lying and using the “age” excuse. He should say “pacquiao is too big for me and I’m scared that the 41 year old with all of those miles on him might beat me and destroy this mythical mystique that the media and my fans have created”.

This is why the comments in this thread are so laughable. People pretending that Loma is some fearless warrior who only cares about proving himself and not the money, as if he’s not saying things that he thinks people want to hear. This is the passive aggressive game that racists play lol.

Big difference between brave and ******, if you can’t comprehend that he is really an under 130 pounder fighting at his max, we may as well get rid of weight classes.
Where did the ‘racist’ nonsense come from, you yanks are obsessed with it.

Nobody is facing the best every single fight but some guys, for certain parts of their career, do prioritise legacy. For example I get the feeling Crawford wants to prove something with his next fight, he wants a big name rather than the payday being the aim.

That's just one example, any boxer I name, somebody could disagree and obviously we can't be mind readers but Hopkins, Roy, Floyd, Pac all like money no doubt but all chased legacy at times.

Wilder wanted an instant Fury rematch, even though waiting has earned him a lot more money
