Shane stops him, Loma is good but 135 is a big ask for him against a guy who went as high as 154

you do realize Floyd has a '74 inch reach while Loma only has a '65 inch reach right?

33-0 with 31 ko’s is pretty damn great.

You know nothing, you’re comparing a faded past prime Mosley to the prime Mosley who was destroying nearly everyone at 135 and was ducked by all of the best at the time in the division!

I have no dog in this race but many lightweights wouldn’t beat that Mosley due to his volume, speed, power, athleticism and unbreakable chin!

Loma’s skillset does serve him well as to beat a guy like Mosley you have to box him smartly and use the ring to not stand in front of him but problem is he would be small compared to Mosley and would be at a significant disadvantage if they trade at anytime!

The interesting thing about it is wondering if Loma could fight a near perfect fight over 12 which is possible with his footwork, speed, ring IQ, and combinations!

It would be a high octane fight with chess match moments and fireworks abroad!

He only lost a few rounds during his entire stay at lightweight. Those rounds were lost to an undefeated champion who was defending his title for the 8th time while Mosley had the flu. This notion that Shane is light years behind Loma in skill doesn’t pass the smell test.

Yes it is but that's vs very limited opposition. As I posted, historically lightweight is pretty stacked. Too stacked for Mosely to be top 5 let alone top 2.

Would Mosley have beaten that version of Salido in his 2nd pro fight? Or even got a split decision loss?

Mosely was a bit drained at 135 and was a much more dangerous guy at 140-147. And he was very fast and smart. Lomo hangs in there for a while but the bigger Mosely chops him down late in the fight IMO.
