    DAZN has failed to end the PPV market

    Remember when DAZN came into boxing promising to put an official end to PPVs? They even had a fight promo showing Canelo and Daniel Jacobs smashing a machine with PPV logo on it.

    But in reality, PPV flourished this year:

    Wilder vs. Ortiz ll = 275,000 buys

    Spence vs. Porter = 350,000 buys

    Pacquiao vs. Thurman = 500,000 buys

    Crawford vs. Khan = 150,000 buys

    Spence vs. Garcia = 360,000 buys

    Pacquiao vs. Broner = 400,000 buys

    TOTAL = 1,940,000 buys, $145,480,600

    A whopping $145M was made just off of PPV’s this year alone. How much did DAZN generate from their subscribers or lack there of? There are more huge PPV’s lined up for 2020 as well, Wilder vs. Fury ll, Davis vs. Lomachenko, Davis vs. Santa Cruz, Spence vs. D. Garcia, Pacquiao vs. Porter, Spence vs. Crawford, Wilder vs. Fury lll. RIP IN PEACE DAZN.

    I don't understand your thread or motivation to make it tbh...

    Are you happy paying $75 per fight instead of $120 per year or $20 per fight?

        Thanks for your enthusiasm but I wouldn’t call that flourishing. In 2017 Canelo alone did about 2.3 million ppvs in 2 fights by himself.

          dazn is a great option for real boxing fans, those who will rather pay 75 for mediocre fights are nothing but fanboys, nothing wrong with paying 75 for a real ppv caliber fight, but thats not what pbc has been offering...

              The average PPV in 2019 generated $24,246,766 and had 323k buys. That’s flourishing! In 2020 it’s going to be even bigger and better, higher quality fights between marque fighters. DAZN has ironically made way for more PPVs to happen by locking Canelo in their app.

                    I think your correct about that, now it’s worrisome that DAZn will actually bring Canelos value down. He better start demanding his events be promoted better like AJs or else he’s gonna be looking like the red headed step son
