good point. Joshua has a gullible fan base who will support him even if he ducks the best in the division.

You don’t know how boxing works ?

Yes, Joshua does great numbers. But he’d do even better numbers against Wilder, the person that EVERYONE on the planet wants to see him fight.

Yes Floyd Mayweather did insane numbers. Crossed over 2 million twice. However, he did over 4 million when fighting Pacquaio. Because Manny brought his own set of fans and hype to the table, elevating the event, it would have been ignorant of him to accept a 40 million dollar flat fee for the fight, even though that was far more than he had made up to that point in his career.

I hate people who think like you. Many years ago I changed jobs. I made about 50k at my last job, and had just completed a probationary period at my new job (at a lower salary than the 75k the job description stated when I took it) on a prove it deal with the suggestion I’d get bumped up to the max of all worked out, and was now in negotiation with HR for my new permanent salary.

The HR lady said they were going to pay me just a bit more than the probationary salary, because she saw that at my last job I only made 50k, and that should be enough.

I explained to her that I didn’t care what I made at my last job. I expect to be paid based of the salary available for the job I am doing, and my probationary performance. I told her that if my new Job was instead a starting NFL quarterback I don’t think they would try and pay me 60k because my last job I got paid 50k. Very tense meeting, to which things left unresolved and she spoke to my supervisors.

Ended up getting 72k. Always hated that lady going forward. 6 months later she got laid off in budget cuts. Year and a half Later I quit the job for a better one.

Anyway, it takes two to tango and make a mega event. And that’s what Joshua and Wilder is. If Joshua wasn’t stuck on DAZN I think this fight would be made. Going to be hard for DAZN to pay wilder the 80-100m he feels (rightfully) he’s worth for this fight when the event is tied to an app that costs 19.99 / mo instead of 99.99 per fight. Especially when the public’s M.O is to subscribe for one month and kill the subscription as soon as the event is over.

No way this fight does anything less than 2mil on a standard PPV. That’s minimum. With all the knockouts Wilder has provided, all the knockouts Joshua has provided, all the belts, the fact that it’s heavyweight, the fan bases. The UK vs the US.

The issue is that it CANT be a joint venture. While ESPN and FOX both have PPV they can set a single price for the event and split the proceeds because they share the same business model.

DAZN and FOX are completely different business models, so someone is going to have to give full rights to their fighter to a competing entity. And let me say, i was an early adopter of DAZN. I would be LIVID if I had to pay one red cent to see Joshua fight ANYBODY. The deal was I get to see all your marquee fighters fights included w my subscription. AJ, and Canelo are your marquee fighters. If you put either of them on PPV best believe I will be cancelling.

Tyson Fury has lost the eye of the Tiger, if he loses? I sense that he will tail off like Prince Naseem Hamed 'Very similar personalities in some ways'

Trust me Fury’s ego would NOT let him walk away from getting KO’ed.

I’ll take either Wilder or Fury all day over Whyte (Ortiz better), Parker, Pedvetkin (who cheated out of the Wilder fight), and fat bastard. Klitz??? Fury beat him better and younger.
