Reality check, Gamboa was that bad, to say Gamboa was a shadow of himself would be a compliment, stiff legs, no reflexes and a jaw that has been shattered numerous times, why do some posters always seem to make excuses for poor performances, just say it how it is, I think tank needs to wait as long as possible to fight loma after that performance
I think everyone is overreacting and needs to calm the hell down.

Exactly, 25 isn’t even young.
Fighters around Featherweight/Lightweight usually peak earlier, and historically are probably on the decline by 30. Especially ones that don’t live the life between fights.
Tank should be hitting his peak. He isn’t young. 25 is a grown man.
It wasn’t long ago when Broner was “still young doe” - well now he’s coming up 31. Time passes quickly. Coming up 26 isn’t young.Last edited by deathofaclown; 12-29-2019, 07:22 AM.Comment

thats a bad sign though if truePpl are overreacting. Davis looked bad. But it is also clear why he looked bad. He didnt look bad because he was out classes. He didnt look bad because he lacked power. This wasnt Broner vs. Ponce De Leon. He looked bad because she clearly didnt prepare for this fight. Nothing more nothing less. I remeber ppl saying this same **** about crappy fights Canelo had earlier in his career. It is what it is.
at this stage tank is already headlining shows and making real good money.....and hes got floyd as his guy....floyd was a guy that treated every opponent as a threat to take what hes built and take food of his plate.....if tank doesnt adapt that mentality hes cooked.....
if he wants to start acting like zab hes gonna be zab....if he wants to be floyd he needs to act like itComment

[QUOTE=Curtis Harper;20288689]he just turned 25 last month....these guys dont wanna hear that
"he got a belt doe"
meanwhile they used to tell us that getting a belt was easy....that anyone wiht the money and connections could get one....when broner got 4 in 4 classes they said "he cherrypicked em and belts are cheap"
now all of the sudden if you got one you have to be doing big things at age 24 lolComment

Seems apparent that Davis didn’t properly train for this fight. Still, he was in there with a fighter who’s been washed up for several years. On top of that, Gamboa suffered a clear and very limiting injury in the second round. For the rest of the night, Yuri limped around, moving only his head and upper body for defense. He threw nothing but arm punches, as he couldn’t plant his feet. The only reason the fight didn’t go the distance was because Gamboa went down a third time in the twelfth and the ref rightfully didn’t see the point in letting it continue. It’s not like Tank sent a notoriously weak-chinned Gamboa into unconsciousness. Davis loses to any of the top lightweights.Comment

[QUOTE=Curt Henning;20289169]They don't dare look up HOFers or ''soon to be HOFers'' and check out who they were fighting at 25. They all get passes.
