All legit wins in an impressive career except for the Rigondeaux fight which I thought was BS. However I don't think any of these guys were big enough names for him to get the credit he deserves, he needs a win against a big name in the sport to make that crossover and to solidify his legacy and for that he's gonna have to make concessions and sacrifices just to get the big fights. I think there is some room for comparison, but there are also relevant differences in their situations.

Importantly, Mayweather deliberately cast himself as the heel. He made a purely financial decision to act in a way which was designed to provoke negative reactions.

It was a brilliant decision. It made him astonishingly rich. Playing the heel made him the richest sportsperson in the last decade.
