It is a big deal because Davis was too fat and lazy to make weight consistently at 130 and now we know he’ll likely be too fat and lazy to make weight consistently at 135.

Boxing Is Great as a fan, aren't you even slightly concerned about Davis's continued struggles with the scales?
Personally, I think the guy is very talented but this weight thing has been going on for some time and has followed him into a new weight class which is unusual.
No one wants to be looking back saying "if only".

He has had a lot of personal, family issues for a little over a year. That's why you see him have his daughter close to him all the time now. I think he'll settle down at 135 or around it.

It is a big deal, no point in trying to sugar coat or downplay it. He has done this historically. It also tells us the sort of lifestyle he has been living, and how he would be in the future if this isn’t touched on.
You see all the little signs beforehand, some acknowledged it and try to deal with it, others would claim it’s NOT a big deal etc and that would make the boxer feel like meh no biggy.
We saw this with Broner, we saw this with spence when he went through a quiet shy talker, into getting drunk and looking worse every time he gets interviewed.... But nah it’s “He is just living his life” “Can’t they just enjoy a little” etc
You enable all of this stuffs and two years down the line you would jump onto another boxers bandwagon.
Fact is, in Tank Davis case it is a big deal for someone that wants to be a star. A star in name isn’t the same as a star in reality.

LOL why are Tank fans trying to brush this over like its nothing? Tanks looked fat all week. I saw this coming. He made weight, eventually, the fight goes ahead as it should, eventually. But Tank not making weight shows us a lack of discapline in the training camp and fights can be won or lost in a training camp. Also there is no doubt Tank would of been weighed by his own guys every day this week so Tank will of secretly been working on dropping that weight all week when he should be doing other things. Its just a really good job Floyd and the PBC have organized another cherry for him rather than a real test.
But im a known PBC hater. After looking, observing, watching the weigh in im sure he didnt make weight anyway. They LIED. In the end, on his 3rd attempt he was mighty close to weight but he still didnt make it but they let it slide. Being that hater nobody will believe me but thats what happned.
