Cost to watch boxing by promotional company

    PBC: $50 a month cable subscription + $9 a month for Showtime + 5 PPVs at $75 each = $1,083

    Top Rank: $50 a month cable subscription + $60 a year ESPN Plus app + 1 PPV at $75 = $735

Roy Jones, DiBella Entertainment (and probably a few other smaller promoters): $100 a year for UFC fight pass

Matchroom Boxing and Golden Boy Promotions: $100 a year for DAZN

... why do we only have threads questioning whether or not DAZN is worth the price of admission? Why don’t we have threads questioning whether or not it’s worth it to watch PBC and Top Rank?

Cable subscriptions come with more than just boxing.

Showtime subscriptions come with more than just boxing.

Unless you watch darts or Bellator, DAZN is just boxing.

Let’s just do the math for things that only include boxing. We’ll throw in darts and Bellator for free.

Cost to watch the five biggest PBC cards: $375

Cost to watch what Top Rank decided was it’s single biggest card of 2019: $75

Cost for multiple Jones/DiBella/smaller company cards: $100

Cost for every Matchroom/Golden Boy card: $100

I think the question I had still applies.

Lol, when they were promoting the DARTS tournament I was cracking up.

If you're factoring in a cable subscription for PBC then you should factor in your internet bill for Matchroom and Golden Boy.

I have DAZN, ESPN+ and attend as many live shows as possible. The total for me last year was at least a few grand. I love boxing and the money was well spent.

That is not entirely accurate. Now you can subscribe to Showtime on an over-the-top subscription sports streaming service without a cable subscription. At least I have for about $10 a month. It's very similar to DAZN.

If nobody paid for boxing how long do you think it'd be around? You aren't a real fan.
