I was just going to bring that up. Not only did he stink the place out vs Spence but he had the cheek to raise his fist at the end of every round. Who's he kidding ffs? Mikey should just concentrate on redeeming himsef before demanding "the right deal". The dude USED to have a decent fan base. I think that's just his friends and family now. We fans still ain't happy with him.

I have an eerie feeling that Mikey is going to lose this fight. Jessie Vargas is no slouch. He can fight. He has a very strong resume with guys like: Timothy Bradley, Manny Pacquiao, Adrien Broner, Thomas Dulhorne, Humberto Soto, Sadam Ali, Steve Forbes, Josesitio Lopez, Antonio Demarco etc.

Also, keep in mind that Jessie Vargas has a very high workrate with a good chin and has never been knockout before. Had this fight would have taken place below the 147 lbs limit; Then perhaps I would probably given Mikey Garcia half a chance over Jessie Vargas but at welterweight I think he is just too small and is biting off more than he can chew.

All that extra money does is give Mikey more of an incentive just to lay down, cash out and don't compete like he did against Erroll Spence. I know for a fact that Jessie is going to be very hyped up and amped for this fight.

It seems to me that Mikey is only taking this fight for the money; Either win lose or draw. Which is always not a good sign for a fighter's mentality.

If he can't beat Vargas, he wouldn't be able to beat any welterweight.

Go back to 135 or 140. Stay in your lane bro

Mikey may be in for a rude awakening. If the Manny fight was there then he should have taken it. Jessie Vargas is no "tune up" guy!

I can’t help but feel like Mikey tricked fans into believing he would be competitive with Spence. It was one of the most disappointing performances I’ve ever seen. I understand he needs to look after himself and his family and make the most $ he can boxing but something is off and not genuine with him.

What Garcia's contract does is guarrentee the welterweight division won't be a part of wbss. Didn't think it would but sorta hoped so. We'll see how it works. At least Mikey is not picking a cupcake to start off with. Tough fight to get the rust off with. Sergio has a shot even if Mikey is in best form.

Yea, that sorta backfired on him. Still wondering if he lost something more than just that fight.
