the thing is nobody likes excuses.

    Nobody.

AJ is savvy and offered none. Because he knows it would alienate people.

Ruiz felt entitled somehow. Offered loads. Offered them whilst being fat and out of shape.

You don't know why anybody would wanna fight AJ? He generates the most money in the division, and will still hold 2 world titles after he vacates one. Why would Ruiz get the lion's share against AJ, when he not only agreed to make a certain amount, but most of the income would stem from AJ's fanbase anyways? Matter of fact, when Ruiz said he wouldn't fight in Saudi Arabia unless he was paid more, Eddie Hearn could've taken him to court for breaching their contract. Instead, he gave Ruiz what he wanted. Hearn has been more than fair with Ruiz.

Pain in the neck? But Ruiz was happy with what he had already made. He told his mom that they don't gotta struggle anymore, after beating AJ. That $5m payday literally changed his life. He was eating like a king, and according to the man himself, it costed him the victory in the rematch. The pain in the neck was Ruiz, after letting the fame and fortune get to his head.

But trying to duck your L is pretty f#cking common in boxing & life. Mfers get caught cheating on their girl & then blame it on her lol. Excusing away your L is probably human nature to some degree.
Yeah, it was pretty apparent from Ruiz's physical appearance and lethargy in the ring that he wasn't in tip top shape. Nobody's fault but his own. Definitely feel he needs at least one fight against a relevant opponent to establish that he's refocused and won't just repeat what happened in Saudi Arabia if given another opportunity.

Some potential Ruiz fights that would interest me: Kownacki, Chisora, Hunter, Kuzmin, Povetkin. Hell, I'd take him and David Price. I realize alot if these can't be made but I wouldn't mind them.

Honestly, Ruiz has not earned the right to have a trilogy fight...yet! Should Ruiz get a title, then he would have earned that trilogy, but not before then! I would like to see Ruiz vs. Kownacki...ASAP! I hope he comes in better shape than he was in the Joshua rematch!

Who gives a ****? AJ got his titles back and the 2nd fight ****** anyway. The last thing anyone wants to do is watch a 3rd fight.

Kownacki & Povetkin seem like potentially fun fights that make sense.

Del Boy seems a lesser fight but that seems pretty fan friendly too.

Basically I'm down to see Andy fight anyone not having designs on boxing him lol. I don't trust Andy to take any fight seriously now so the best fights for him from a fan POV are fights where it's not gonna matter as much if he's 250 or 300 on fight night.

That said the thing out of line by Andy was his 3rd fight talk when AJ was talking to the interviewer. Interrupted the man after a historical title fight rematch W & talked about a rematch of the rematch that he clearly didn't deserve after his effort in training & the fight.
Chicks do this to, caught my ex out and she said i didnt give her enough attention lol.

Ruiz had the big head from the first fight stoppage and his stomach got even bigger. The rematch Joshua was pathetic himself. He fought like a boring coward. 🥊

That's bleak lol. I don't things are quite THAT bad for Andy's trilogy chances.

I could see Andy earning another big fight w/o winning a belt.

Hell I kinda see the most likely blueprint for the trilogy involving AJ losing again & Andy being the tune-up fight or a first defense they feel they got locked up upon winning back the belts a 3rd time. Or basically I think Andy will get a trilogy fight when it makes the most sense for AJ not when Andy has cleared certain hoops.
