Hard to argue that it's more decisive, but then again there are early/questionable stoppages, unless you're only talking about legit cold KO's. Also at higher levels and lower weights knockouts are less and less common so you could take that into account too. I don't really have a vote to be honest and kinda stand by my initial post but am also just trying to bring up some debatable points and contribute to the thread. There is no wrong or right answer and despite how sensational a knockout can be, not getting one shouldn't take anything away from a great win. I feel like I'm just talking in circles now.
Win on Points or by KO?

KO/TKO is the greatest form of victory in boxing. It’s equivalent to having a royal flush in poker.Comment

Yeah most folks on this site will actually try to argue a 12 round decision is somehow greater than a KO/TKO victory simply because they want to sound elitist but get real folks, there’s no “sweeter” victory in boxing than a KO/TKO. Opponent flat on his back or face, judges don’t even get a chance to have an opinion.Comment

Not trying to knock your thread though but kinda seems like you just want people to reinforce your opinion as opposed to debate it. But respectfully I'm done in this thread. Happy New Year.Comment

I appreciate that you see what I'm tying to do and that you are pretty level headed for someone who posted this having already made their mind up firmly. But doesn't seem like there's much more to add at this point. Either the vague kinda opinions that me and a couple others initially posted or KO is king.

Just trying to see if anybody actually could come up a reason a 12 round decision would actually be greater. You made good points.
I just know most of the folks here spew a lot of nonsense and bias BS so I wanted fo see if anybody could take a stab at this debate since we have a lot of try yards here.
A KO/TKO is obviously the greatest form of victory in combat sports.
Not to mention that KO/TKO is much more difficult to achieve than a 12 round decision.Comment

If we're talking a legitimate, undisputed scorecard win then I'll take that.
Does it make me a 'sweet science' type? Ok.
Just about any boxer can, in theory, get a knockout. You can knock out the better fighter. But to resoundingly prove you're the better man, you demonstrate it clearly for 36 minutes.
For drama and entertainment, I'll take a knockout. Though my first thought is always for the health of the fallen fighter.Comment
