Win on Points or by KO?

Greater to win on points or by KO?

I’d say to win by KO is much greater. You’re eviscerating your opponent and ending fights quicker. Much more action packed fights usually end with KO’s and it’s much more entertaining. It’s also much more difficult to pull off.

Winning is winning. That's the great thing about boxing, you don't always need power if you have great boxing skills. Everyone has their own way to equalize the battlefield which is what can make the sport so exciting.

Hit and not get hit, the reaction is a bonus , if you hit and dont get hit you beat all comers , nothing too debate kid its simple logic that proves to be true throughout history.

Yes but the question is which is a greater style of victory?

          By points or KO?

If you had a choice to win by KO or by points which would you like to choose?

End the fight by KO or leave it to the judges?

A win is a win, sometimes beating someone across twelve rounds is more impressive. Knockouts are enjoyable but so is watching an overmatched in power fighter flirt with disaster for 36 minutes and come out with a win.

Well it's subjective and would depend on many things. Though with today's judging you'd be safer to win by KO/TKO obviously.

Personally if it were like a grudge match type situation I'd rather soundly beat someone up for 12 rounds than KO them in rounds 1-6 and give them the easy way out. Clearly the best of both worlds is beating them decisively til the championship rounds then knocking them out just for fun but that would take a special kind of fighter.

Again, the question is which is a greater victory?!

Which would you rather win by if you had the choice?

I’d say the KO for the reasons listed above. To KO your opponent is the greatest form of victory because you don’t even allow it to be “judged” in the hands of others, you completely control the victory with a KO. There’s no controversy. You end fights sooner rather than putting your body thru 12 rounds, etc.

So KO then is your vote. I agree. To KO your opponent is much greater style of victory.

A knockout looks better. It's better in almost every way aside from saying "I CAN go 12-15 rounds". For some fighters to intentionally try and go the distance, they would be putting themselves at the risk of losing. What the hell kind of thread is this???
