  • Comments Thread For: All Change in The Camp of Tyson Fury

By Tris Dixon - IT seems to have gone by almost unnoticed. Maybe Ben Davison has not been afforded the same respect as a more experienced trainer. Perhaps there's an easy-come easy-go mentality with fight fans. But it is bizarre that Tyson Fury and his coach have split just seven weeks before his proposed February 22 rematch with WBC heavyweight...

As much as I like Fury, I don't agree with his father....you can't blame the trainer entirely for fury being weight drained. Fury is the only one who knows himself and knows what weight suits him best. I think Fury was a bit "obsessed" with the whole weight loss thing so far. He probably enjoyed seeing himself and the change he has made since he faced wilder, he just went a bit too far with it.

Nice article even though it does leave alot of open ended questions.

I don't think Fury should have got rid of Davison altogether he could have added Sugar to his crew and they could have worked out the best plan for Tyson.

Now that all that data has gone cause Davison has left and Sugar is up against it with 2 months or so to work out the strategy.

****** move by Fury trying to cut costs.

I feel bad for Davidson, however I think Tyson is maybe doing the right thing from a boxing perspective however if he finds himself feeling down in the dumps or depressed again I'd like to think Ben would still help him out , i dont think he should have got rid of him completely , but kept him around during fight camp.

As a fan of Fury's, I think it's too late to change style for Wilder. Besides, he doesn't really need to change his style, since that was the winning card in his past match.

Fury is not a puncher, let alone an offensive beast. He's a great technician, able to dance for 12 rounds and hit when that's useful.

I was hoping to read this and find out Tyson was actually in camp. Which would mean the fight is happening. Is there any evidence yet that he's actually in camp?

If there isn't then this '7 weeks before the fight' stuff is an irrelevance.

Good read. The switch is a bad idea imo but we'll see

Apparently Davison was the one who left, not Fury getting rid of him, according to John Fury

He is in camp, he’s in USA right now. John Fury said that he’s in USA and he had a video on Instagram stories of him out running at 5.30am and seemed to be USA time

Seems as though he’s relocated his family to USA for Christmas while he trains
