I was thinking that too. Maybe go with Mayweather Promotions? He can fight Davis down the road. They can spar every week before their fights as well!

Did Haney's run with Floyd Sr as a trainer end well? Does Haney have a longterm contract with Matchroom?

Yeah maybe they can do their ring walk together too and hold hands!

They are being compared. They can learn from each other. Why is that not good? Two top lightweights training with each other.

Yeah of course but maybe not if they're fighting each other directly after. Seems counterintuitive to spar opponent before real fight. I would think one would figure out the other to some degree at least.

Well, a lot of boxers sharpen their craft against each other. The one I liked the most was the Pacman vs Porter. Porter was always a solid fighter, and sometimes beat the Pacman in sparring, but Pac was always supreme in that relationship.

I don't mind seeing something like that between these young guns. Davis would be the Pacman, but more supreme to Haney, at any point.

Yeah I'm aware of both of those things but that's also the reason Porter will never get a Pacquiao fight. That's the point I was trying to make.

If Tank keeps going the way he is then Haney really has to get 2 big fights and there you go

Saying all this, my prediction from early 2017, still stands. Gervonta Davis will fight Lomachenko in 2020. I want it on Cinco de Mayo 2020 for the Mexican and worldwide audience.

Floyd made Cinco de Mayo a thing. Stick to it, even if it's against Canelo on an app. Davis-Loma will be the bigger fight the whole world will be watching, no matter who Canelo fights.

If it doesn't happen, fuck Arum and Floyd. Two crooked assholes.

                    I wouldn't expect much.
