That’s a good way of looking at things, he isn’t getting that sort of money at PBC for sure. And it’s for a unification as well with no string attached, well apart from the strings attached to these muppets by Haymon it seems.$7M is a good deal. I don't know what Charlo is pulling right now, but $7M and "unified champion" on your resume is something you should go after if the terms are good. Not a fan of his antics with Deontay Wilder, but Hearn has consistently thrown good deals at PBC fighters. I hope some business can get done so we can see some good fights.
What I don’t get is, Haymon is meant to be their adviser, he is supposed to work for them.
But Haymon main priority with his top names is his own network deals with FOX and Showtime. And some of these guys rely on him so much, and they trust his judgement.Comment

Thank you for your uneducated inexperienced amateur opinion.
It isn't a career high pay day by far. It's likely a career high pay day by a couple million and also comes attached with a future option. My educated experienced professional opinion is that it's not worth a couple million bucks to cross the street and have everything stacked against you, only to then get stuck with a future option if you manage to knock the guy out and avoid getting screwed. Not to go fight a B-side in a fight that really wouldn't be that big of a fight.
If Charlo is going to cross the street, it's going to be for Canelo or GGG. Period. Not for the guy they're ducking.Comment

Don't care how they get there make the fight.
That is a lot of money for two fighters with no fan base. Good fighters but not marquee names. Andrade really has to fight a named fighter before his prime is gone.Comment

First off, I avoid calling fighters names like that. They fight in the sport I love and I give them the proper respect whether or not I am a fan of theirs. I've criticized both GGG and Canelo when it's warranted. As for Lomachenko, I've haven't spoken of him much at all in either a positive or negative light.
So, I have no idea who you are lumping in me in with when you reference me as "all you dudes". I know it must be hard for you to grasp but some people enjoy watching fighters regardless of promotion, network or any other silliness.Comment

Some of these comments?
I believe this would be a very good fight. I read a comment that said its not worth that amount of money. That's a big money fight for sure. 2 undefeated champs going at it. Possible fight of the year candidate. I mean knowing we won't see a TCraw vs. Spence, Canelo vs. CalSmith or an AJ vs. Wilder/Fury winner.Comment

Calling either guys stars is like calling diarrhea chocolate milk. Neither guy is a star. As for Charlo's opposition, his opposition at 154 is awesome and beyond reproach. His opposition at 160 is utter dog s hit. Korobov is solid. Heiland and Centeno were a s hit fights but I believe both had some sort of belt or sanctioning situation behind them so I won't hold it against Charlo. But Brandon Adams? Dennis Hogan? Those were some seriously terrible opponents who were well beneath Charlo.
Because Andrade is tied to DAZN and Charlo isn't going to go to DAZN to chase Andrade. Eubank and Derevyanchenko are both with PBC and easily makeable fights.
If a fight with Derevyanchenko is easy to make why hasn't Charlo fought him? Why isn't he being mentioned as Charlo's next opponent instead of Chris "my best victory at 160 was over Gary O'Sullivan" Eubanks.
Secondly, it isn't about chasing anyone its about the best fighting the best. Sergei Derevyanchenko wanted to fight the best. He went to DAZN and fought GGG and Danny Jacobs. Charlo wants to fight the best but stays on his network fighting Brandon Adams and Dennis Hogan. Some people back up their talk about fighting the best while others don't. Guess which one is Charlo at 160.
Eubanks doesn't deserve that ranking. Neither does Jeff Horn for that matter. More on that later.Eubank and Derevyanchenko are both rated higher than Andrade in boxrec.
Eubanks is not higher rated in the real world and if Charlo had any interest in fighting Derevyanchenko he would have especially if it was such an easy fight to make as you suggest. Andrade has a belt. It may not be a major one according to PBC but its a real one. Eubanks doesn't have one so he should wait in line after Andrade.Andrade doesn't have one of the big three belts. So his belt means nothing in the PBC universe and PBC has higher rated opponents lined up for Charlo.
No it isn't. But GGG isn't fighting Charlo either which is Charlo's problem. Maybe both guys should step up their competition and force the issue. I don't care how the fight is aired make a deal to make the fight.Canelo moved to 160. Jacobs moved to 160. PBC has more top 5 middleweights than DAZN. Andrade should be theoretically unifying with GGG on DAZN, but GGG refuses to fight him. That's not Charlo's problem.
And the real top five of the middleweight division post Canelo and Jacobs is GGG, Derevyanchenko, Charlo and Andrade (in whichever order) and Murata. Eubanks and Jeff Horn have done nothing at 160 to justify a ranking higher than 6th.Last edited by yankees7448; 12-19-2019, 06:57 PM.Comment
