Hearn lowballs Charlo for a fight with Andrade

When I wrote this I had just watched a video of Hearn talking about the offer and he said none of the guys on DAZN wanted to fight Andrade. Then I read that article about Eddie putting that guy from YouTube as the co main even on the Andrade card to sell tickets and get ratings. Hearn is between a rock and a hard place with Andrade. He needs Charlo.

I really don't understand how (presumably) boxing fans can get so confused in their minds while trying to support promoter/manager that They get themselves to the point when They criticise person trying to make a great fight, so literally turn their back to boxing and real competition.

Now consider this:
A) Charlo said He can take 1 fight deal on DAZN.
B) Fox executive in recent interview with Chris Mannix said that They probably won't have Charlo for his next fight, but expect to get him back in the future. (So there's network ties excuse out of the window right there)

...so Charlo has a great fight that can raise his profile, make him number 1 middleweight with Canelo moving up, get him biggest career payday... and You WANT him to turn it down?
Really weird, you just seem very confused.


To be fair, let's see - still that fight is planned for May so if Charlo is just negotiating better deal, fair play - but if He turns it down, that's going to be very weak and will mean that He has no desire to compete and is afraid of people seeing him lose, because of the image of "THE LION" He created.
Means that He's comfortable with Haymon because He will keep paying him and will never ask him to take challanging fight that He can lose.

I think every boxing fan should hope this fight happens anyway... If Fox wants to do it and They match the offer btw, I'm all for it too (But apparently They have no interest in that which is why We have to be happy DAZN wants to throw the money at that, with big risk that Charlo beats their star and just goes back to Fox).

Big credit to Hearn and DAZN anyway, that willingness to make big fights and take risks of creating stars for others, that's what boxing needed a lot since neither Bob or Haymon were ever willing to do it.

Purses go by how much the fighter is worth. The viewing public decides that. Charlo is not as famous as Mikey or GGG.

Vargas fought Pac and GGG fought Canelo a couple of times. High profile fights that puts their name out their. Charlo has done nothing but Showtime and little else.

GGG has headlined multiple PPV events while both Charlo and Andrade have a ways to go in that regards. Also, the payoff for either guy taking and winning the fight is the ability to command more in the future.
