You know full well that the comparison with Mikey vs Vargas ain't really a meaningful one though, man. Not saying Jermall is worth more or less, merely that just cos one fight or fighter is considered worth a particular sum it doesn't follow that others will be too, name value, nationality, perceived demand and, sure, titles too all come into play when making that calculation.

And unfortunately Jermall's bargaining strength ain't really helped by his possession of the WBC title since it's been rendered effectively worthless by all this franchise champ bullchit... Just when you think these sanctioning bodies could not screw things up worse, this franchise designation makes the sport even more fractious and confusing as to who should be fighting who. I suppose the WBC MW belt does have some cachet or prestige because of its history but it's like Charlo's been invited to a party but he's not allowed to leave the kitchen.
