McClellan doesn’t get P4P power credit

He had better P4P power than Klitschko, Tua, Jackson, Tyson, Lewis ... IMO

I think his power ranks equal to Wilder, although it could be argued that it was BETTER since Wilder only sometimes KO opponents in Rd1. McClellan usually did.

Thoughts and arguments for or against? Please share..

His bodyshots look like some of the most painful punches ever absorbed

And I think he gets the credit from the hardcores, same with Julian Jackson. Just maybe overlooked by some because not heavyweight and not the biggest names at the time.

the leverage on his shots were unlike anything I'd ever seen.

        YES!!
I totally understand why people dislike him, but give him due credit for his punching power, I’d say.

I’m a huge Benn fan and I think he could have been put away there several times in McClellan’s last fight.

Julian Jackson IMO was the Middleweight Deontay Wilder but with better boxing ability.

McClellan dismantled him like he was throwing depth charges.

          I agree 100!

I wish his fights were known more widely... good stuff, was watching the two Jackson fights, and the Benn fight from start to finish yesterday.

The Benn fight was something else, would be one of the best fights ever IMO if not for the tragic ending.

The ref protecting Benn in round 1 is pretty suspect though

No I agree, as a Benn fan, he clearly got a bit of help in that fight.

Sad how it ended McClellan’s career. Underrated and one of the best.

also pretty much ended Benns career he was on the road to finishing anyway but McClellan left his mark on Nigel too as he collapsed after the fight as well and was taken to hospital

                  Yes
And it’s reasons like that that I think Fury may not have come unscathed through the fight with Wilder

Granite chin also. Mcellan was taking Jackson's left hook like it was nothing. Mcellan has probably the hardest body shot of any fighter. He would have been favored if the fought RJJ.
