Paying either Wilder or Fury 50% today would be crazy because it wouldn't make financial sense. Neither fighter draws enough on their own to warrant that kind of money.

The Wilder Fury rematch will most certainly be successful and Hearn knows it because redemption sells and there is a real strong promoter involved.

Yes the rematch will be successful but that said, Hearn
is offering 50%..to the WINNER of Wilder/Fury. The WINNER will have elevated themselves enough to draw the financial support to cover their end of the 50%.

    It's not complicated, it's not fandom...it's math, simple math. It's a business, it's math.
Yea, and how did that turn out? Joshua got knocked out by a fat midget and would've ruined that deal anyway.

Meanwhile Fury/Wilder will be promoted heavily during the Super Bowl, and that fight will be absolutely huge. They've agreed to a rematch in the summer already. He's going to make nearly as much money and get far more exposure in the US than he would have fighting Joshua.

Simple math doesn't work too well for AJ's fans, cuz they keep quoting the number of cheap tickets they can sell at Wembley and ignore the actual dollars involved, which would be considerably more in the US, which AJ was not willing to do.

I honestly can't even get mad at hearn sometimes. I mean, if your idiot cult-like following believes every word you say even though you are a proven crook conman liar, can you really blame him for doing the same crap over and over? If it ain't broke don't fix it right?

Back to the same s--t in boxing just a different year in 2020. More ducks, fake callouts and mostly s--tty fights.

ONLY If Wilder wins, if Wilder loses his rematch he's done. Without leverage Wilder gets a flat fee because that's all the match will pay for. It's the numbers not the promoters or PBC or anything else.

BTW....No, Shelly Finkle did a horrifically terrible job promoting what should have been the easiest heavyweight to promote. If Shelly was even a half decent promoter Wilder would have all the belts + double his net worth and still have Fury and everyone else out there for a few hundred million more. Finkle is lining his own pockets in the safest, longest route possible. A wannabe Bob Aurm lite without the brains.

Should be 40% for AJ since he’s unknown in the states

You're trying to sell a point of view that's not really supportable so I can't help you with that.

What I can tell you is this:
shlt fights exist because dumb cult followers are willing to pay to view mismatched garbage. As long as Promoters and fighters get away with talking it up while fighting old men and nobodies nothing will change, shlt will pass for real competition and the cult loyalists will continue to pay.

A lot of people are commenting as if Hearn offered a 50-50 deal in this article, when he just about said the opposite.

"In my opinion, I still don't necessarily think they are worth 50-50 - but now I can see the argument. And it's going to get to a stage where they will only take the fight if it's 50-50. And that's an AJ decision, that's not an Eddie Hearn decision. I don't go in there and say 'this is how it's going to be, it's 50-50 and it's done.' I'll tell AJ - 'this is the only way that you'll make this fight, is if you give them 50-50, what do you want to do?' And in my opinion, and I don't want to put words in his mouth because AJ is his own boss, but he wants those fights so badly - that [50-50] will probably be the deal."

Like Joshua-Ruiz I? Ruiz being a 20-1 underdog qualifies as what you're talking about.

Wilder's following in the states made him 3 million and Joshua made 85 million in a country he's not from.

Question: Should the guy that draws 3 or 85 million make more?

                    Answer: Buy a fu#king a calculator.

Specialist...more like Scientologist. Ruiz was a live dog that beat the champ just like Fury beat Wilder so what's your point cult boy?

How easily people forget that Ruiz beat Parker and got screwed. More over, the fight was originally supposed to be Wilder, then Miller, then Ortiz and Ruiz was the only fighter with the courage to actually fight. 20 to 1 made him 20 million in 1 outing that is.
