I just thought it funny that the author said this is the shortest amount of time between Gary Russell Jr fight's in 5 years.
Then goes on to say the last one was 8 1/2 months ago.
Way to go Gary!Comment

I'm somewhat feeling the same way you do on this one just bc most people here probably have no idea who Nyambayar is. While it is not the fight we asked for, I've seen Nyambayar fight & he is a solid boxer with good power who likes to put pressure. He fought Marrero recently so he got some experience in fighting a slick southpaw. Don't know if he's ready for this fight but he gotta take the opportunity when it's there. Should be a good one.Comment

Damn good fight actually, I thought Gary was off to DAZN or ESPN or something but I serious doubt the interest was even that high because he only fights once a year which is HIS CHOICE
I like King Tug, he comes to fight and he is going to put pressure on Gary and let his hands go and he is very heavy handed. This could very well be that fight in which INACTIVITY catches up to Gary so I really hope he is in great shape. Gym Work and Sparring cannot replace or simulate that Live Saturday Night Action that you get from being active. King Tug will be a very LIVE and Dangerous Underdog for sureComment

He's been on tv in the US before a couple of times so it's not like he's a big unknown.
I think a lot of people watched him on the Keith Thurman comeback fight against Lopez.
Of course the people who watch undercards would know him.Comment
