Danny is too slow and basic. He does things that can easily be timed. There’s no doubt he give Crawford a lot of problems because he has a great chin and can absorb most of Crawford best punches, but he’s very slow to get off and would get beat to the punch easily. If Spence was right-handed, I’d give him a good shot to beat Crawford because he does throw some sharp straight punches.

Crawford is a bit too left/right hook happy sometimes and has a tendency of pulling up back in a straight line with his hands down after punching, but I dont think Spence, Thurman, and Porter have the skill set, discipline, consistency to exploit it. The only WW who had those abilities and intangibles is a 42 and soon to be 43 year-old man long retired as a competitive boxer.
This thing about Thurman not being able to take body punches is the dumbest thing ever. There is no proof that he can't take body punches.

If think you definitely need to punch with him. Mean Machine had good success letting his hands go at mid distance when Crawford did. He’s not so difficult to land on if you do that. The problem is he is very clever and you would need to pick your shots better than he does if you try that. You might have moments of success doing it, but having consistent success is the problem and that’s where the levels come into play.

Some might argue punching with him isn’t a good idea, but what’s the alternative? If you stand off him too much, he’ll just switch hit and pick you apart.

Maybe Porter with his very high pressure style might have success. He can make it ugly.

You beat him by taking his ability to "box." You go in and make it an ugly fight. This is why I think this Porter fight might be an upset. I think Oriz can go in and just slug him out of the ring. It might not work because of Crawfords versatility. But a bigger puncher like Ortiz and making it ugly, going mid-range or inside, would work on Crawford. I think a Maidana type fighter would give Crawford all kinds of problems.

That's a good question actually. I'm going to keep it simple and say that to beat Crawford, the best way would probably be by out boxing/outsmarting him. Too risky to **** with him cuz dude has hands at 147, he can punch.

That’s the same way I feel. Anyone who has had any level of success against him did so by boxing him instead exchanging with him. Crawford is there to get hit, you just have to fight him at his own pace and make him the aggressor.

There are plenty of proof he can’t. Nobody likes to get hit and most boxers are good at hiding their pain and continue fighting, Thurman always make it obvious that he’s hurt from body punches. That’s why he doesn’t want any smoke from Spence.
