Well deserved. In '18 he beat the boogeyman of boxing at his own game and claimed a title at 168, and he carried that momentum into '19 with a masterclass in a unification with Jacobs and a ko over Kovalev in his 4th division. With that win he became the first former jr middleweight champ in 25 years to go on to claim a title at light heavyweight and only the 4th in history to do so-- all while holding belts in three divisions simultaneously.

I don't think it's been as clear cut as some years. Some fighters had solid years, non really spectacular.
