Beat a GGG leftover and then an old shot fighter who’s been knocked out twice in the past few years and almost got flattened by Anthony Yarde in the previous fight.
Come on.
There’s been bigger achievements this year.Comment

He deserves it, the haters have been trying to discredit his Kovalev win, it started with claims of unfair rehydration clauses (doesn't affect Kovalev per his words), to saying he's been shot and is past it (despite avenging his KO loss and KOing a strong contender), and then finally after running out of ammunition, they start claiming the fight was fixed.
Canelo is an ATG, he is a once in a generation fighter. He has a few more years in his prime, it's going to be fun watching him prove that he's the best from 160-168, the haters will be frothing at the mouth the entire time, refusing to recognize greatness.Comment

Yeah, I'm fine with it.
Jacobs was one of the top MWs in the world and he went up two weight classes and beat Kovalev.
Taylor has a case, Ruiz if he beat Joshua the second time probably wins it, Spence had two nice PPV wins but that doesn't beat what Canelo did, and Pacquiao had a really good win in Thurman but his other win is Broner.Comment

Not surprising at all. Got a UD win over Jacobs and then went up and KO'd Kov for LHW title. I know many of us had a lower opinion of Kov at this stage of his career but Canelo was losing the fight and got the KO he needed.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 12-17-2019, 01:53 PM.Comment
