Firstly its not clear what the difference is between a Roman Catholic and an Irish catholic, and secondly, the conflict is primarily between Northern Irish Catholics and Northern Irish protestants, not 'British' protestants. Britain is the union of Wales, Scotland and England. The United Kingdom is the union of Britain and Northern Ireland - the Northern Irish protestants are 'unionist' as they want to maintain that union with Britain, the Northern Irish Catholics want unification between Ireland (a separate, catholic majority country to the South) and Northern Ireland (which is majority protestant).

So 'Roman an Irish Catholics vs British Protestants' is wrong on all sorts of levels.

Well we know you were actually taught real history. But you have to understand today's ******* media, where literally nothing that you read is the truth. Not sure how familiar people are with the history of the IRA but their nail bomb attacks on innocent bystanders will live long in the memory of thousands of people.
