Davis selling out 14,000 in his hometown should show both haymon and Arum that fights on hometowns for big fighters do sell with proper promotion. Get away from Vegas and especially Los Angeles....Los Angeles only sells for a particular demographic

Looking forward to Tank vs Gamboa. This fight will be interesting enough to warrant attention.

For the Loma insecure man fans on this thread, let’s see Loma verses Tank. I don’t believe Loma gets past Teophemo but let’s see all these great matchups. That’s boxing!

why did ward want to fight ggg in a years time? why not right away? did you or anyone else really expect ggg to sign up for that while being fully aware that he was waiting for that wbc fight? be honest. now that you are honest with yourself and know that it wasn't a legit offer, how did he duck? please explain yourself instead of continuing to post nonsense without any factual or logical explanation as to your position.

you dont like ggg therefore you make up things and misrepresent offers. that was a joke offer my friend. why do you keep pretending it was real? you dont offer someone a multi fight deal that will keep him tied up for a year when you know he has other bigger fights coming up. all i see from you is that you are easily fooled if you think thats a serious offer. why play the part of a fool? just because you dont like someone? there are other things to criticize ggg about but not knowing the situation, not knowing the offer, and just hoping its a duck doesnt make it true. come back with some better substance please.

at first ggg ducked ward to fight lemiuex...then it was revealed that the offer was to fight in a years time and not in 2015 so that was bollocks. now its ggg ducked ward to fight wade and brook...cept he only fought those guys after canelo refused to fight him which they totally ignore. as if ggg knew canelo would duck him so he should have signed to fight ward before he knew that? makes no sense. these fanboys and tribalists are trying to revise history so they can manufacture a duck instead of looking at the context of the situation. they also ignore how ward turned down ggg, tried to fight some guy named dmitri sartison against hbo's wishes, and then got canned by hbo.

Davis needs his Oscar de La Hoya like Floyd had to propel him to stardom.

A shot Gamboa ain't really making it.

Is that like how Floyd ducked Golovkin?

A loss like that would only make him better in the long run, ala Canelo vs Floyd.

However, disagree about the second part. He's right on track in terms of being a star. Clearly he's showing he can be a ticket seller wherever he fights and at the age of 24, he has a solid name already. Very few legitimate ticket sellers in America but he seems to be one of them. Let's see how he does on PPV against LSC early next year and it would be good to compare it to Lomachenko vs Lopez.
I also believe he can be a star and would be a star. However he isn’t one now. I mean Ellerbe is doing is job here, but it’s laughable him trying to convince anyone that Canelo’s star power is coming down.... Whatever.
