Noticing a disturbing trend with Crawford

I'm noticing a disturbing trend with Crawford. He doesn't seem to want to acknowledge anything negative and is starting to make excuses. Andre Ward pointed out the same thing with Kovalev. Loma admits when he gets hurt, and all of the greats do. Crawford denied the knockdown against Egis, refused to acknowledge that he hit Khan low, and to this day, diminishes that Gamboa hurt him. Not sure how he continues to maintain this in the light of incontrovertible video evidence. It's a bad sign for me.

Crawford reminds me of Michael nunn. Now some of you may not be old enough to remember him being the best fighter in the world but he could have won a lot of his fight easily but then started to engage in a war for no reason. He was dominating Toney but then got complacent. The same in his fight with Curry. One day Crawford is gonna get hit with s punch he doesn’t see and it’s gonna put him out.

That has always been Bud, this is why Ward even himself said that “Crawford may NOT acknowledge” that he was KD but he was!

But you are absolutely right, he never seems to want any sort of critiquing. He is very defensive when it comes to that, but to be honest most competitors are.

Although Nunn was talented I considered his safety first approach very boring. How many of his fights were exciting? NUNN! I may be exaggerating and with that being said I do wish him better luck in the future. He was released from prison in February after serving 15 years.

You sound like you really, desperately, want this to be true and even grasped at some thin straws to put together this flimsy argument.

              Kovalev comparison?? Uh... lol.

The KD thing is ****** for people to argue over because it's too tough to call. If Kava hit him w/ a KD punch, why the *** was he having to wrestle and thrust him around? We really don't know if Bud would have remained standing if he wasn't being pushed around so it's kinda ****** to get a hardon over it.

The Khan thing... wow. What bearing does that have on the fight, on Crawford's career, his mindstate, on anything???

Maybe next time just make a thread titled, "I don't like Crawford" because it would be more truthful than this one.

My only response to this is that Crawford is pfp #2 behind Canelo

Not really the same. Nunn lost focus and made some bad choices in the ring. When/if Crawford gets beat, it's going to be because the other guy was better on that night. Not because he was wishy/washy or confused. His greatest strength is the fact that he clear in his focus.

Also, remember that this is the entertainment biz just as much as it is a sport. It's absolutely smart for a guy like him to go for a KO when he feels the risk/reward is there. If he fought conservatively last night, do you think anyone would be talking about him today? He got a lot of positive attention committing to a dog fight. He doesn't care that a few nerds on boxing forums are going to make negative threads about it.
