At 147, Marg's resume is good enough compared to other fighters. No need to make claims that he only fights bums. You can make your point better than just saying 'Marg fights bums etc'.

It's not like Floyd has fought stellar comp at 147. Yes, I'm saying Judah is not stellar comp. Yes, I'm saying Gatti and Mitchell aren't stellar comp. But at the same time I ALSO inform ppl and understand fully that Floyd is being avoided for now by Hatton, Cotto, and Mosley.

It says Arum is putting his money in Cotto, and that's about it. PR fans are just as rabid as Mexicans, plus Cotto has the silver medal history going for him. All boxers with a medal have easier paths to stardom.

Margarito has faced a few good fighters, and has tried plenty to get bigger names to fight him to no avail. You have tried unreasonably to shift the blame to Margarito, just because guys like Ishe Smith and Paul Williams called him out...as if that means jack ****. Anytime someone calls out Tony, you are the 1st one to make a thread about it and act as if Marg is scared when there is no evidence to support you at all. We don't even know WHO Marg is fighting next.

It's very convenient that everyone wants to fight him NOW that he offered Floyd $8 million. If anyone but Floyd thinks they are getting $8 million to fith Margarito they are kidding themselves and the boxing world.

Dude Im not pissing on Margarito. You guys are just on him too hard and look at things one way. I have already said that Margarito is the 2nd best WW out there and I would probally even pick him over Shane. I made one thread a few weeks ago giving him mad props but I guessed you missed that.

I also will criticize Floyd when I think he's being a ass or when he fights a guy like Bruseles but I have always felt and said that it is a double standard. People dont look at all the guys that turned Floyd down but yet they rip him. On the other hand Margarito can call out Floyd but he hasnt fought anyone and you cant deny that. You say some big names have turned him down and maybe that is true but what about paying your dues like everyone else? You dont have to beat a star.

If you want the big fights or the fame then you can just beat the guys on the 2nd level and no one can deny you. You can beat Rivera, Callazo, Zab, etc and no one can diss you but if he doesnt get Floyd or Mosley the he doesnt fight anyone and you cant argue that its ok. If you are a big name fighter then you can get away with calling out big names but when you dont have the real wins then you have to beat those other guys and people will look at Margarito like he's the man. There are a ton of very good fighters who will fight him.

Clottey is being talked about and he's decent but why not fight proven guys like Rivera or Callazo? Thats my point. Every other guy we talk about on these forums have done something or have a very good win besides Margarito. You dont think that counts?

The simple thing, which you don't seem to understand, is that Floyd is supposed to be 'the man' and p4p number 1 and etc. No one calls Marg the best in the world except crazies. Floyd needs to fight appropriate fighters. Baldy qualifies, abut OBVIOUSLY so does the number 2 rathed welter in the world...I don't give a damn what his resume is. He's number 2, period, and that's widely recognized. You KNOW that if Floyd fights at 147 and never ends up fighting Marg, then that is not excusable.

My point is that if Margarito doesnt have that one good win then it wont be a big deal. Its a big deal now because people have ripped Floyds opponents but he will probally fight Baldy, then maybe Spinks, then Oscar, and if Margarito is still fighting the same guys then everyone will flip and start dissing Margarito.

Well my thing is that its way too early for you guys to be saying this when Floyd has only been here for 2 fights, doesnt even weight 147, and is scheduled to now fight the real champ.

Floyd said to Margarito, "give me one win" but Margarito wont do it. What Im saying is how come everyone gets time except for Floyd? If anyone else moved into a different division then no one would go crazy about that person fighting someone like Margarito. Stop using double standards on him. I have said many times that I dont think Floyd wants to fight Margarito because he just had 2 fights against 2 small guys who were lefty's, have a totaly different style then Margarito, Floyd's weight isnt up yet, and he hasnt had one fight under the new situation without Roger. I think Floyd wants Baldy so he can have a guy who is big like Margarito, is a righty, has that come at you style like Margarito, is a real WW, it gives Floyd a extra fight to put on weight, and he will have already have had a fight without Roger so it will be comforable to him.

What if after the Baldy fight, Floyd says "now bring on Margarito if he still is bringing that money". I dont think its fair for guys to say he has to fight him yet. I bet Floyd talks differently about it after the Baldy win because he will feel much more prepared for Margarito then he is now
